| I'll be completely honest and say that I didn't see enough of Rangi Chase to know whether he was worthy of MoS or not, but those who did, please tell me he was better than we've seen for England. Was he? Or just flattered by being way ahead of the rest of a poor team in Cas?
Quick feet is about the only positive I can see, but seems to playing on an entirely different planet (and I don't mean that in a flattering sense) to the rest of the team and just stitching them all up with daft decisions and poor execution. Looks way out of his depth.

| I thought he did ok and there's no doubt that our attack looked a lot more threatening this year than it has for many before - whether that is because of Chase or other players or even the opponents defence, I don't know.

| He was rubbish. Attack was pretty bog standard with Sinfield and Chase today.

| He had a lot of mistakes in him but played a key role in sparking numerous breaks and attacking plays.

| It's Sinfield who needs to take the stick, not Chase. At least Chase is trying to create. Sinfield was terrible today. He has no composure and cannot choose when to pass when it matters.

| I thought Chase was quite good today and if he tightens up some of the errors in his game he could be worthy of a Kiwi call up next year.

| Should be dropped for next week. Looked good in attack but cost us 3 points today.
1. Going for touch from the 20m, OZ try
2. 2-1 strip, penalty, another oz try
3. Interception pass, OZ try.
Now i know England could/have should defend better. But you cant keep giving OZ or NZ sets of 6 in your own half. For me probably shouldn't play next week, but as long as we don't replace him with Mcguire who is no attacking threat. Also not impressed with Heighington, his missed tackled on Williams was awful. Apart from that England was superb today. Shame about the ref

Watch the game back.. Sinfield is involved with most of not every england try! Granted his Goal Kicking game was bad (only 50%) but his on field kicking game was outstanding.
Chase on the other hand:
Crazy Pointless kick out of a scrum, nowhere near a 40/20 and resulted in a Aus try.
A Ball-steal just outside our line resulting in a Aus try from a penalty.
Crazy passes left right an centre, and not only to England players and empty spaces but also to Australian players resulting in another Aus try.
Individual players can not be blamed, the team had a fantastic game... but you seriously need to watch the game back!

| Started brightly but fell to bits after his horrendous kick from the 20 tap. He can try cack like that in superleague but not at international level.

What about Ben Westwood then? If memory serves me right, 3 of the tries came of the back of 3 of his penalties! Very poor performance from BW whilst RC will take the stick for the intercept and for the attempted 40/20 I personally thought BW was poor.

simpsons/PDT13.gif Brad Fitler "If the ref's decision decides your game. You haven't done enough prior."
Referees are like women, they make snap decisions and never reverse them.
Littlerich wrote Widnes will be glad to get away from Leigh. They've been regularly pumped, roasted and left in the alley-way by the lobbygobblers. Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.:simpsons/PDT13.gif |

I wasn't the only one that noticed that then?

| I am not Chases biggest fan but he did better than I thought today. I honestly thought he would really get shown up badly today.
I agree with Saddened, once again Sinfield has shown that he is not good enough for this level (apart from when he played at hooker, where he was actually pretty reasonable). It is hard to understand why he keeps on getting second chances.

| So he tried finding touch from a tap 20, if that came off you'd all be saying it was brilliant
The 2 on 1 steal if you look the Aussie let go of the ball when Chase covered it to stop an offload
The offload that was intercepted was just a desperation play with time running out for England to get back in it (and the England player he tried passing it to was just stood there not paying attention - something which happened numerous times throughout the game, in fact Sinfield did it twice)
