Only an idiot would fail to recognise Wigan have underperformed in their last few games, including the CC Final, and it's a coach's job to recognise such issues and introduce solutions - if that means a few days away from the media glare, great. Something in the recent routine needs changing to provide a fresh mental and physical start.

RL gets naff all coverage anyway. Wigan keeping quiet for a few days won't lose us any column inches. In fact, conversely, it might lead to additional coverage.

What have Catalan players got to do with it? All he is doing is ensured the players are fully focused on the job in hand. Each coach deals with things differently. I'm certainly not going to argue with a man that has delivered a league and a cup in the last twelve months. He perhaps realises that we are actually knackered physically and this is his way of trying to deal with it.
