Ignoring how well (or badly) your side got on this weekend did everyone enjoy the experience of 2 days in sunny Cardiff?

Do you think it could have been organised any better?

Any problems in the bars or around the city?

Was your accommodation good or not so good? (name and shame the bad ones)

I only went on the Saturday but I enjoyed it. I thought it was organised very well. I only saw the usual odd scuffle around the city centre about midnight and to the best of my knowledge none of it involved any RL fans.

I still wish this 'magic' weekend was held on the bank holiday weekend though.

A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult”:

I am sure the rugby fookin liars sorry rfl will dress it up as a success

kcab sfrawdder Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg

T'was good. Some good games. Good laugh in the bars. Be much better in the hot months though.

Wigan and Wire did their bit with supporter numbers, Saints support was a let down considering their healthy attendances for this event in previous years, probably a third of what Wigan and Wire brought.

Had a great time for my 4th visit to Cardiff. Everywhere and everyone was friendly, especially compared to Edinburgh.

As a kick off event it works and hopefully they can build on it, it's a shame that a lot of fans just watch their own game and then leave.

Putting Warrington on first was a mistake as our fans tend to stay and watch the other games. It also meant I couldn't watch United vs City. 3rd game on Saturday or 2nd game on Sunday would have worked better.

Premier Inn Cardiff City Centre was really nice, very friendly and helpful staff. Bars and restaurants also very accommodating.

I think the clubs and RFL need to do more tour packages for both the weekend and days to make organising the trip easier, try to do deals with coach companies, hotels, train operators in return for some sponsorship. Some big name entertainment along with the house band and cheerleaders might help too.

Really enjoyed it...despite Warrington being dire.

Had lots of chats with other fans in a good atmosphere...bumped into various natives including a very keen South Wales Scorpions fan

Only down sides were that various grumbling whiners did not attend...the food was not a patch on Murrayfield...and it was cold....

I enjoyed it , stopped in Bristol in a guest house just outside city centre and was excellent value for the money.
had some good banter with other fans with no hint of trouble in the ground or outside.

people who knock this event should actually come and try it one year cos its a great event and i hope it carries on for many years to come !!

It's not all about the attendance on the day. It's about media interest. Getting people talking about rugby league. Many fans dress the event as a success depending on how many fans are in the stadium. Surely it's about how many where in the stadium but also how many people watched the games around the country.

Pushing water uphill:

Loved it. As a London fan, 30,000 is a lot of people, not a few, and it was great to be enjoying games in such a friendly atmosphere. OK, some of the play wasn't great and I was lucky to enjoy the Quins game as a partisan rather than a neutral, but me and Master Sheen had a wondeful time. Roll on next year, and we'll bring some with us.

Those that say it's rubbish need to think about the 60,000 fans that have been and enjoyed themselves as well as those that have enjoyed watching the event on telly.

It needs a few tweaks but overall it's a great weekend.

We stayed in Swansea again where the nightlife is first class. Cardiff is much better than Edinburg as a venue.

Only criticism was having the Hull derby as the last game given the distance we have to travel. Some fans won't be getting home until about 1am.
