| I feel a bit for the kid.
He is one of the bigger goofier kids around in the NRL and this decision is clearly a bit beyond him without some proper advice. All he is getting is the usual manager shy te in his ear. May as well be Mundine advising him.

| In light of comments like these, I also feel for Folau a bit. He's not guilty 'til he's signed with another code, he should be encouraged to play at all levels if form warrants. He only turned 21 last month, he's had a lot of sh*t thrown his way.

He has indicated that he will seek the counsel of some of the Queensland Origin players.
Given none of them are keen to switch to the dark side, hopefully they will point him in the right direction. I would like to see the senior players gather around him......................................
and hold him down until he agrees to stay in the game forever. Might take a few to hold him down.

| just compare how differently we treat turncoats to how union treated theirs.
at least i can be smug in that we really do have the moral high ground over the vichies,
if he stays then it will be because hes picked so yeah good point.

I have watched 6 Wests games this year and I can't say Lote is pulling up any trees IMO - he certainly hasn't put a performance in that compares to Folau's against Melbourne?
the biggest surprise for me is Tahu - surely NSW have something superior to him?

That is the point I made earlier in picking Tahu and Cooper NSW offer no attacking threat from the centres - they are simply there to top Queensland?

i think they are afraid of inglis mainly so they really want to stop him
and then the forwards can more than match qld
its not a nsw side im particularly excited about
nsw selectors are always defensive orientated
if you are a talented attacking player, its twice as hard to make the team

| Tahu's greatest strength is his attack, not defence.

If that is the case, they have lost the plot.
Take the 1985 series in point. The first you Blues won.
I actually love looking at the highlights of game 2 at the SCG - which is one of the all-time great Origin games. NSW played a superb variety of attacking football and it was all by attacking players: Mortimer (Steve), Kenny, Ferguson, Grothe, Jack, O'Connor, Cleal, Elias and Roach. Players like Mortimer (Chris), Wynn and Jarvis chimed in with attacking play and the entire team played as an ensemble for captain Wayne Pearce.
Despite that, Queensland were magnificent and Lewis majestic. Lindner's team try and Lewis's 50m run just before halftime are great examples of our quality that day.
NSW need to get back to attacking us or they can get used to losing...
For that matter, I want to see us attacking you blokes, which we still have not done enough of in the last four years, despite dominating the four series. We should have won some games by 30 points. We generally didn't.

Certainly is.
His defence can be quite suspect although he does hit hard when he makes them.

gus was talking on the sunday roast a few weeks back how constantly the nsw selectors were talking about just stopping inglis.
they have nightmares on what inglis did to lyon last year hence the reason they want to play a big man opposite inglis
if gasnier was back hed be in no doubt about it
nsw for a long time pick defensive sides
jarred hayne is our best player and theyve chucked him on the wing
will gidley win the game for us if we need to? doubt it
but if the game is in the balance hayne is the man to go too.
we dont have a clue

| I'm quite sure we'll see Hayne at fullback for a significant part of the game.
