I hope so,i like it...
So after scoring a try,you can opt for going for a goal or just recieving the ball back.So in some cases where a team scores 5 min b4 FT and they were still behind and the only way to win was scoring another try, then yeah i'm all for it.Bring it in,a fantastic rule.

Doesn't read like that to me. Looks more like the NFL option of instead of kicking they get to have one play from the 20 or 10 (say) in which they get to score an extra try, if unsuccessful it'll be a hand over. Thats the way I read it anyway.

| If that's the case it would just be a cross field bomb to the corner every time. Stupid idea.

You may think It's stupid, but i like it.To think with 3 min to go and the only way of winning was scoring a try ,can you imagine the excitement?a bit like extra time after a game been drawn with people on the edge of there seats, this would be even better.

| Quote: "Others include the use of four referees, coaches Neil Henry and Wayne Bennett wearing microphones and the video referee explaining decisions to the broadcasters' commentary team'"
Also Hotdog vendors will parade the stands and the refs will wear baseball caps. Helmets for the players will be introduced with the team logo on the temple and the ball will be allowed to be passed forward.
Not a good idea in my view and it would be changing something for the sake of it rather then any actual need. If anyone was at the Trinity-Leeds game (amongst others) last year there is no real need for an 8 point try option, teams are quite capable of losing/winning a game from unlikely positions already.

Teams can already decline to take a conversion if they want.

In the Sydney game – quite possibly. In rugby league, no.

| As someone earlier pointed out, 90% of the time the extra tackle would revert to the hit and hope cross-field bomb. I'd be fed up of it after a while. Goalkicking should be embraced as a focal part of our sport.

I think you mean an integral part - were it a focal part the game would be rugby union.

| Isn't it time the ARL / NRL recognised that the body for changing the rules of the game is the RLIF, not national leagues?
