| Out of the grounds that are by-the-book "good" in terms of facilities etc, which ones are you really not that keen on visiting?
Are there any you feel while being excellent works of sculpture, fail to live upto in terms of atmosphere and likeability?
Which of the so called next generation grounds just dont float your boat?
For example, I would much rather watch a game of rugby at the jungle than either the Galpharm or KC

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Warringtons place is just dull tbh it looks like its made from lego and never really has a good atmosphere like the GPW or other old grounds.
I personally love a visit to the KC. Our 2007 play off game there was a great atmosphere.

me too, Galpharm has no soul. KC is ok on derby day.
Give me Cas, Saints and CP anyday. The only new ground thats any good for RL is Wire, but that was built for RL.

| Dont like wigans it to souless for my tastes, was dissapointed with the kc when i visited after years of looking forward to it. In the lower leagues the chemics ground left me feeling underwhelmed. Of the 'new' stadiums i have visited donny and warrington have been best.

| i like all grounds when my team is playing there - as long as there is a pitch for the game to be played on i couldnt really care about the rest of the surroundings

i disagree. a ground with a decent atmosphere makes the entrance fee MUCH more worth it IMO

No atmosphere is the norm for him, except of course when the mighty Hull KR hit town

Probably more the fact that you've failed to win there on every occasion you have visited.
Must be creeping up to 10 now.

it can do, but your talking to someone who started following Huddersfield in the late 80's when atmosphere was something we saw on the TV on cup fnal day
having a pitch to play on is far more important though !!

| JJB is good , Like a day out to hudds but the emptiness is a problem.
Still not been to hull.
Out of the new grounds not a big fan of wires new ground.
The standing is uncomfortably steep and always feels stewarded on the edge of safety - rammed for a saints wire game and I suspect for the semi as well.
Like many I like some of the older grounds for atmosphere but I can understand families and the ladies liking a much higher standard of facilities.
Sunday afternoon away games in Yorkshire - sunday lunch - then a game and listening to pies fans who havent been to a game since they moved from central park moaning on GMR on the wayback. Heaven.

| All the "modern" grounds have 1 BIG problem.
You can't change ends at 1/2 time.
You have to sit in terrible seats and pay over the odds to doso.
They are souless monstrosities.
In SL the only grounds that may possibly let you go from one end to the other are Leeds? , Salford, Saints and Cas.
Only Leeds is a "modern" Stadium but it has atmosphere.
The worst, the terrible, windy, souless, bad to get to and park Galpharm Stadium.
So much potential but a total joke played by the planners and architects.

| give me the railway end at the jungle on a sunday afternoon over any of the new grounds, dont get me wrong we need a new stadium urgently or at the very least a new main stand, to me its just a great view to watch a game with the chance to brush shoulders with opposing fans which sadly is becoming a thing of the past inside grounds which is a huge shame because thats what sets our game apart from others.
of the new grounds doncaster is the best ive been to due to its compactness which generates a great atmosphere, the kc dw and galpharm are nice to look at but lets face it they are built for football not rugby.

| Like any big, modern, international class stadium, Huddersfield needs a fair few people in to have a real atmosphere
Ultimately though the games are what creates the armosphere, not the ground, the tension, the excitement and not the ground.
You could be at any old, tired ground and have no atmoshpere if the game is flat and one sided

| Keepmoats OK, but you can't beat the old grounds where you can nearly touch the players 'cos you're so close to the pitch. I suspect the players quite like the banter too, judging by the looks on their faces at some of the shouted comments!
I would miss the banter with the away fans if we were to go down the segregation route, and I HATE sitting down in those bloody plastic seats!
