The two best props of their era. But who tramples on who?

Kevin Ward. Because he was a proper hard as nails prop who proved himself in the UK, in Aus and at international level, Peacock's fine for a second-row turned prop, but he's no Kevin Ward.

the professional era has warped it slightly, after 20 mins or so peacock would run rings round Ward, but for those 20 mins Ward would run peacock over repeatedly!
I saw (i was only little) wardy as an impact prop, and Peacock as a workhorse.
I know its legend now, but did ward really play the ball with a broken leg once?

from those two i would say kevin ward, but neither are as good as cliff watson who also proved to be outstanding over here and the NRL

I remember seeing an interview with Ward about his leg break, saying he looked down and his leg was pointed the wrong way, so he tried to bend it back the right way! Inevitabley making it worse saying it was the worst thing he could have done at the time.

Ward > Peacock IMO

I remember that injury well. The hush that came over the rabid Saints - Wigan crowd was eerie. No one wanted to see him leave the game in such fashion.

I have great admiration to Jamie Peacock and without doubt he is an outstanding player but I have to side with Kevin Ward.

Ward is battle with Sam Backo during an Ashes tour by the Kangaroos was amazing to watch, as good as Backo was, he became the first prop forward to score a try in all three test matches, Kevin Ward was better.

I'll always remember Australian commentator Darrell Eastlake, the best commentators I've ever heard, shouting "he done good, he run strong he only knows one way to go " when describing a big Wardy drive.

I could never understand why Castleford treated him so shabbily.

Peacock could have been the best 2nd row of his generation, as a prop he doesn't lace Ward's boots. We haven't had an intimidating prop since Barrie Mc retired. A GB pack of Barrie Mc, Kevin Ward, Peacock and Morley would have been something!

If you're talking about the horrendous fracture that ended his career, he didn't play the ball, but he did sit up, see his leg pointing the wrong way, and then twist it back round to where it should be. Needless to say, the look that immediately crossed his face suggested that he regretted doing so.

Ward was a more complete player than Peacock. He had a superb offloading game that Peacock lacks. The fact that he also proved himself in the ARL weighs in his favour.

Peacock is probably the best forward GB have had in the past 15 years though.
