i was thinking today about times gone by and what reminded me of going to the rugby in my youth ,the main one being the boiling hot tomato soup at half time at Fartown in the late 80's - 30p a go ,it burned your mouth like hell but was bloody lovely stood on those crumbling terraces with 300 other hardy souls.

so what memory stands out for you - try and keep this serious-ish as it will be interesting to see what fans of different clubs/eras/generations come up with...........away ya go !

Getting in free at half time at the old Craven Park, those were 't days

Being allowed on the pitch at full time at KR. Being able to dangle your legs over the wall at KR.

getting thrown out of Wakefield ground when i was about 13 after been caught by a copper throwing a snowball at the ref

Coming out of wheldon lane after a cold friday night game.
Walking to the bus station and calling off at the chippy and getting a bag of chips with loads of scraps with mushy peas on top of it all.

I was about 12 years old....them were the days.
By heck did them chips taste good when you were freezing to death.

Blokes walking round the pitch collecting for charity holding the corners of a big sheet that you threw money into.

Fog.

Applauding good play by the opposition.

Proper scrums.

Fat forwards.

The list is endless.

i could have named loads but i was after the one abiding memory that sticks with you more than others,i didnt ask for a list of as many things as you can remember - consider yourself told !!

Thats shocking just shocking

Getting autographs from players on the long walk from the changing rooms to the pitch at Odsal.

Seeing young lads being past overhead at Mount pleasent to get them to the front so they could see, and one going the other way who kept messing about, he dissapeared over the wall at the back.

My grandad trying to lift me over the turnstyles at BV.

Happy days.

Being packed into Threepenny like sardines on those massive wooden steps. Not being able to see wtf was going on went play went to the nearside corners of the pitch.

Indeed, sending the dad into the club at the front whilst sneaking off for a quick try at the Eddy end and waiting for players to come out of the new tunnel and sign autographs as they went down the old tunnel.

Good times!
