Maybe he's after the Wigan Job, because if they don't beat Cas on Friday, Noble will be in big trouble!

Not a bad NL coach. Nice person. Got us to 3 finals in 3 years. winning one of them. dont think he had what it takes to take us to superleague in a few years time.
All the best Ste Mac.

Surprise - No
Pushed or walk? - Most likely pushed.
Popular with the fans? - A resounding no. We've got a very good squad this year, and for the last 3 years and all we've got to show for it is a Northern Rail Cup. The team McCormack put out on Friday against Oldham should have won with 12 or 13 men (no disrespect to Oldham, but surely even you didn't think you were going to win!).
Stanky will take over in the meantime and hopefully we'll put in a cheeky bid for Ellery.

| Not really a surprise after Friday's dreadful showing against Oldham. That was the last straw for many fans, including Mr O'Connor it would seem.

A tad harsh if you ask me, he is popular as a bloke that is for sure, but for most not their cup of tea. Good luck to him though, hope he get's himself a position in the not to distant future.

| Nice Guy but we are not playing well enough as a team considering the playing personnel we have. Neil Kelly or Ellery Hanley would be my choice.

| Didn't NL2 Oldham beat, just down from super league Salford, this time last year and Salford didn't do to bad going on to win ever thing at NL1 level.
What i don't get is if the Widnes board don't rate Steve Mac then why not remove him at the end of last season?
Maybe this kind of knee jerk management reaction is one more reason Widnes were overlooked for a franchise

WTF you mentalist, pre season results havent been the best and we have been awful in certain games. Isnt it better to get rid now rather than half way through a season?
