| At the end of the BBC story on Leeds' signing of Kyle Amor from Whitehaven is a quote from BBC Radio Cumbria commentator John Cox saying, amongst other things, that in reference to next season ,
Quote: "The Rugby Football League will be bringing in dual-registration, you can be a team-member in Whitehaven and in Leeds as well at the same time. '"
Has this been announced officially anywhere ?

| Championship clubs to become feeder teams for SL clubs? Personally I think it would be a big step forward and give younger fringe 1st team players a better grounding than the current reserve grade system.
Shame SL clubs don't have more money so they could financially support their partners better.

| We have sort of done this already this season with Gregg McNally. He played for us in January against Halifax then for Haven all year.

It is a good idea but I can see it being very contentious from those who, unlike myself, are sitting on the Super League side of the fence. To many, it will scream out "feeder club".
At present, there isn't a team in Cumbria capable of hosting, and exposing their young players, to a Super League environment.
This sort of arrangement offers talented NL players the opportunities to become full-time pros, improve their skills and improve the talent pool in game generally. Either the kid makes it and goes on to (hopefully) be a success at Leeds and (even more hopefully) England. If he doesn't, he takes a wealth of experience back to Haven.

| It was announced a few months ago as part of the RFL's restructuring of the development system. The reserve teams are being dumped and the Academy age groups altered. The dual registration means players not in the first team will be able to go and play for a team in the lower leagues. It was generally felt that reserve grade wasn't doing much to develop players as they were just stagnating, but playing against experienced semi-pro players will toughen them up and help them develop.
Plus the C and C1 clubs will get use of talented youngsters they might not usually get hold of.

So is that the third change in three or four years? They haven't a clue what they are doing

There will still be U18's games but not in it's present form it will be more like the foundation games.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

" Roll up , Roll up , come on down and watch another teams players playing at the LSV,Shay,Cougar park "
Another stupid scheme , why not just kill all the non SL teams off right now and have done with it
As if removing any chance of ever moving up wasn't bad enough , now they want to remove the identity of those clubs as well
Joke
