Barrow showed up to their fixture with only 14 players, meaning they only had 1 substitute. This is the sort of thing that happens at U12’s, not a Championship fixture. It’s not even a one off, the Raiders only had 15 fit players available for last Sunday's game at Featherstone Rovers, with former player Chris Fleming coming out of retirement and Barrow Island amateur Ben Garner joining to boost the team.

Garbage, Barrow have an horrendous injury list and a couple of players with visa problems.
They also don’t have a sugar daddy like Toronto who probably spend 2 to 3 more than Barrow.

I don’t agree that Barrow are a laughing stock at all. However it’s worrying that a team in the Championship can’t get enough players for a full team.

I would of been happy for the Toronto Wolfpack to join Super League from the off, but you and your multiple rlfans accounts said they need to earn their place like everyone else, for that to happen semi professional clubs need to travel to Toronto.

It’s very worrying. If this happened to Toronto, Toulouse, West Wales Raiders or any other expansion club there would be a whole host of Leigh fans (or the same one under multiple usernames) calling for them to be kicked out of the league. The embarrassing part is that Toronto could only put 64 points on them but on s serious note a championship team should not be turning up short of players that’s something you expect in the amateur game

How many were denied a visa? I know Dewsbury had 3 players denied the week before meaning they only had 16 players.

This is something that needs to be looked at (i know it's not the Wolfpacks fault), but its making an already hard task for these sides ni on impossible.

The answer to that would probably be a NO, last season Toronto had 23 overseas players out of a squad of 29 players an enormous unfair advantage over the rest of the championship and wouldn’t be acceptable in super league either.

When people say Toronto are paying for the costs of away sides it’s simply not true. It’s a lie.

Unless Toronto are paying for everything, including loss of wages (remember why were a separate sport?) then superleague can. Otherwise bin the fiasco off now as yet another gimmick cheapening our sport.
