| Will be in 2016 (according to Chris Irivine on twitter)
If that's true we may as well shoot ourselves in the foot right now

| I know, it's been said we are going to try and push for an Ashes in Australia for 2015 but I think we'd be better off trying to get the Aussies to come here. Get the dates and stadiums announced ASAP and get them tickets sold.

| Let's hope someone realizes that we need to stop Rugby League's perennial 'failure to launch' problem (something really good, like a successful WC, comes together and then gets squandered).
We *must* have more big games. Internationals of course, but stick a 'champions league' in too. It's not that hard. Two groups of 4 (top 4 of NRL/SL) with 2 from each hemisphere in each group. The trick is to play the group matches spread through the season as in the Champions League to bring that extra spark, interest, and news coverage when it's most needed. Ah, but that's impossible, you say - too much travel. Not so, you can play both your overseas away fixtures in one trip. Besides, the petty objections about fixture congestion, are just that, petty. If we want to BE big, we need to think big, and pull out all the stops to create competitions that produce BIG GAMES as often as possible.
Get that going, alongside more Internationals, and work to bring the global game together. We've just got to convince the NRL that it's even more commercially successful that way. That might be the tricky bit ...

| I say this with a heavy heart but I think we now need to stick with England as the brand and sideline GB, we have built up so much brand equity with this WC, it just seemed 'right' that it was England at wembley, we also need to utilise wembley as much as possible, it looked magnificent today.

| We should be looking to organise another international for February straight away.
We need to capitalise on this and anyone with a marketing head will see the value in an international so soon. Get a big sponsor in with a big massive pay day for the players and have a re-match against the Kiwis.

| We should invite some south sea island teams over for a test series. The crowds would come for Samoa, Tonga and Fiji now. It would help their development, and give us better opposition than France.
Surely a Kiwi tour would be a decent draw too.

| Great ideas, but the idiots at the RFL won't have any of it.
Unless they're supported by an organising committee

| But but I thought the "International Origin" was better than playing proper Tests.

| 2014: Australia Four Nations
2015: (probably Australia Ashes)
2016: UK Four Nations
2017: Australia World Cup
Schedule only plans for 1 tournament here until at least 2018. We can't be having that.

| I agree that something needs to be done to ensure momentum isn't lost, but there is a danger that if we have too many big events, they get diluted and stop being 'big events'. Part of The reason this WC has been such a success is that people have been waiting and looking forward to seeing the stars of the game - if we have access to watching them every year, the novelty will wear off.
Having said that, totally agree about a champions league type competition and we do need more regular meaningful international fixtures - I just think a 'big' tournament over here should just be every 3 or 4 years to help build up anticipation - plus we need to share the comps as a minimum with Aus and NZ, and need the odd off season without international competitions.

Logic says we're having a tournament in 2013, the 2014 one should be down there.

| Simply alternate series between UK/France and Aus/NZ evey year. I know some years the cycle will have to change though. Next gratin defo down under and with nothing confirmed for 2015 I think it is ideal to get the Aussies here for an Ashes. Wembley, COMS and Elland Rd the venues. Wembley the 1st Test then will can build it up for 12 months in advance.

I respectfully disagree. The 6 nations and the 'autumn internationals' always seem to sell out. Yes the World Cup itself shouldn't be every year, but we are a million miles away from over-saturation. We ( Eng and/or GB lions) need to be playing Australia and New Zealand on average at least two or three times a year.
