Toulouse can't live with Pia in the current Elite table, and Pia were crushed by Featherstone in the Champions' Cup or whatever they called it last year (think Fev were about 40 up after half an hour before taking their foot off the gas). If Toulouse get into Super League, then any reference to on-the-field performance will be shown to have been irrelevant.

Using Albert's logic, Toulouse are on a par with Carcassonne (same points in the league) and Workington beat Carcassonne so therefore we need to get Town into SL asap.

Not if the RFL is smart with scheduling. Have each English club play the two French clubs on consecutive weekends. That way the fans can get to see both games on one trip if they want a 9 day vacation in the south of France. Not every English fan will want a 9 day vacation, but many will. It could make the French trip more attractive to English fans, especially for the games in full summer.

That scheme will also allow the French teams to have alternate home and away games which is good for French TV, because they will have a home game with a different French club each weekend.
