| Derek Beaumont has said that Leigh are actively looking to replace Neil Jukes & in doing so suggests that Assistant Coach Kieron Purtill will not get the job.
Suggest a Head Coach who is OOC or who may be prized away from a current job to take the reigns.
My immediate thoughts were ......
Ian Watson - Head Coach - Salford
John Kear - Head Coach - Bradford
Andrew Henderson - Assistant Coach - Warrington
All of who are currently under contract & so would be very difficult, are there any OOC decent HC to consider ?

Ian Watson?
So he'd want to leave his hometown club where (IMHO) he's doing as good a job as is possible with the resources available, to coach a club that appear to have imploded since they were relegated from SL? Are Leigh planning on doubling/trebling his wages? I'm sure he'd love to jump from one (previously) megalomaniac owned club to another (currently owned) one as well!
Or are you planning to woo him with your illustrious history and massive fanbase? (yes I'm fully aware our crowds are poop )
Can't see John Kear going anywhere as the lure of rekindling Bratfurt's glory days will be a huge motivating factor.

A) Didn't say it would be easy Slim *read post properly*
B) Solid fan base, even when doing poorly in Championship ....
SL 8th best supported Club in 2017 above Wakey, Widnes, Hudds & Salford !
A sustained run in SL would see Leigh approximate K.R & Cas average attendances !
C) Watson - Ex Leigh player
D) Salford - a cock stride from Armageddon !
E) Money talks !!!

If I was Watson, i would jump at the chance to join Leigh... It`s inevitable that Salford are going to struggle financially and only a matter of time before they are in crisis.. He is already been asked to get the wage bill down, which means offloading some of his better players which for a coach, must be extremely frustrating. If he is smart, he would be looking at taking that offer if it was on the table, before the sh** hits the fan.
At Leigh, at least he would have a good financial backing, taking over a team that yes have high expectations from both the fans and the board however are in a good position to take over, a squad full of talent at that level and under performing massively!

Seen fans of a couple of clubs suggest him for their next coach (Hudds, Catalans). I'd be wary given the guy basically said he's bored of RL right now and it's take something special to excite him back into it. Any club would more likely be getting 2017 Smith.....not the 2004 Leeds or 2011 Warrington version they'd be dreaming of.

Hi Jean/Sir Kev/LeBron.
Maybe Watto is a decent guy who would like to repay the faith being shown in him by sticking around until we go bust eh? (Which has been happening for the past 20 years btw).
It really pains me to see Leigh struggling as just 18 months ago we were all looking forward to a new era of Leigh dominance after they swept aside the might of Rochdale, Barrow et al, while storming to the Championship title. Forgive me for having the odd chuckle at their expense while they struggle this season and I'll lose no sleep over the fact that I won't be visiting the LSV anytime soon.

Don't confuse your proximity to St Helens, Wigan and Wire (thus high travelling support, which swells your figures greatly) for being one of the top 8 supported clubs. Go on ST numbers, if possible

Did Higham get a role in the backroom of Leigh?
He very nearly signed for Wakefield on a playing contract the other week, which i find odd.

Will be Stone's replacement at Huddersfield after Easter, unfinished business there.

Really? It was only a few month back that he had lost all passion for the game and wasn`t too sure if he ever wanted to be involved in Rugby league again.
Wonder what has changed since then would be my question if he was appointed?
