| 1) Luck
2) Our injuries (Briers,Morley etc)
3) Shocking refereeing
4) Wigan boring tactics. (Tony Smith's view before the game was spot on)
5) That lucky try Sam the gerbal Tomkins scored when the ball blew off the kick off tee. When has that ever been seen before?
It wasn't a case of Wigan playing well, more a case of Wire playing poorly.
I see there was smalltime behaviour from Wigan's players and fans celebrating a win against a side they claim "isn't a big club with no history" like they'd won the Challenge Cup,Grand Final and World Club Championship rolled in to one!!
And they claim we're not their biggest rivals!!!

Chin up, there’s always the G.F .
Oh, you forgot Hodgeson having a mare & Fat Lad getting injured.
Show a bit of decorum, the best team on the day won.

| Embarrassing. Winning and losing should be done with a level of class. Wire will learn this over time.

| Dont see why Wire fans might be bitter, they had a good go, gave a good performance but were beaten in the end, it happens to every team.
Hodgson had a shocker and like you say you missed Briers. Morley was out but for me he isnt what he was.
At the end of the day you put on an entertaining game and when all is said and done got beaten by the current champions. Hardly like you were robbed by a bottom four side who just had the luck of the green.

Ever heard of the phrase 'magnanimous in victory, gracious in defeat'?
No?
Thought not.

| Presumably the OP isn't really a Wire fan?
What a fantastic advert for RL that was. I'm over the moon that Wigan came out on top and we were fantastic today but Wire are obviously a very, very good side... and they have a few players out. Wigan v Wire would be a sensational grand final.
