So Gareth Thomas is on CBB.

Some of the players seem to be supporting him on Twitter and it's great exposure for the game.

However, he doesn't seem to be bigging up League much which is pretty sad when he has a job at the RFL.

Nah, it's a blessing. I hope he keeps totally quiet about League, especially if he manages to do and/or say too much that is embarrassing. We want good publicity, not crap publicity!

Any publicity is good publicity though. Especially on a show as big as this

I simply don’t understand why a respected professional athlete would agree to do such a programme – I know that the BB brand can start a celebrity career but surely Thomas should be looking at something better than this tacky route full of talentless wannabe’s and stinking of desperation

I have a lot of respect for Gareth Thomas but less now than I did before

I would guess he has done it for the money. He will probably get as much for doing this than playing a whole season in super league. I could be way out only a guess

dont forget about possible exposure for his film too - a lot more people will know his name now from being on this, rather than just the people who follow rugby = bigger box office receipts

So he is doing it as promotion for a film that isn't even in full pre-production let alone production?
