There are plenty of excellent radio commentators about, time for SKY to bring in new blood.

He's just as bad when commentating on the darts for Sky.

Trouble is, no ones ever satisfied. Eddie & Stevo was constantly criticised on here. No matter who comes in next to commentate will get the same treatment.

A week after being beaten by 30+ points they then had to play against a side who won the league last year and had only conceded one try in two games.

They played some good rugby and defended incredibly, so much so Saints only scored one try. It just so happens Saints defended better...

Completely biased of course, but I enjoyed listening to Joe Mills & Bilko commentating on Wish FM the last few years.

I didn't expect Cas to keep Saints within 10 points, so they I guess did defend very well, defence is most of the sport.

Pyke constantly mentioned Castleford's poor record in St Helens saying it's 40 years since their last win then saying it was in 1990. Surely even he could've worked out that is 30 years ago, not 40.

It was 1990, btw. A 29-16 defeat for us. I was there.

IMHO, Clive Tyldesley was the best RL commentator I've listened to when ITV showed games live on Saturday afternoons.

The Australian guy who worked on was it (Premier Sports) might be way off, or was it a RL world cup in Aus/NZ ? Anyway he was superb, informative and witty with it.

I'll not disagree that Cas have exceeded most peoples expectations in the margin of defeat. However, "playing magnificently" is stretching the bounds of credit.

Hasn't he just been dropped by ITV? Maybe he will come back.

Pyke is really hard to listen to IMO - sounds like every word is being forced out of his chest. Ben Proe is just as bad but neither are as bad as Terry O'Connor - how the f are Sky persisting with him?
