| Some rumours that SL is in serious talks with Dazn.
Mixed thoughts on that, anything to get SKY to up their price is welcome but its a big jump to go from a subscription TV deal weve had for over 30 years to an obscure streaming service. A lot of RL fans are old and wouldent have a clue how to watch. Also do pubs have licences to stream it?
Whatever happens we need certainty asap as I imagine its very hard for the clubs to get sponsor deals given the current uncertainty.

| Obscure? It's the biggest sports streaming company in the world. Their coverage of boxing is much better than sky and BT. Personally, it's all about the money. If they offer much more than sky, they should take it. They have 15m subscribers worldwide

| DAZN is about to go bust lol.
This means SL will definitely sign a deal with them given how inept rugby league is in this country

| If it gets us shown around the world, brings more money to the clubs and every game is on TV every week, I'm all for it. With the cost of living crisis you could say sky will become less and less relevant over the time, one of the first things people look to cut when their budgets are squeezed.

1230.gif “You are playing a game of football this afternoon but more than that you are playing for England, and more even than that, you are playing for right versus wrong. You will win because you have to win. Don’t forget that message from home. England expects every one of you to do his duty.”:1230.gif |

Wilkin has fooled every other broadcaster that he should be paid for ruining their TV coverage, we can but hope for such an improved situation.

| This article is so misleading and done with no research at all. In the UK and the USA DAZN do not hold any major sports TV rights. The NFL deal for example is the ability for DAZN to use its platform to use the NFL game pass coverage which anyone can get today without using DAZN. NFL TV rights are still with sky.
Also yes NFL game pass allows coverage of every game but this is on the back of NFL productions. People living in fantasy land if they think DAZN or the RFL are gonna put up the money and technology to offer the same for super league. Not a chance you would get a TV equivalent broadcast at every ground every week.
And yes DAZN are currently a minor sports outfit in the UK. It's good to see them trying to make some moves if these rumors are true as outside of boxing there sports coverage is a complete joke.

NFL game pass has switched to them from where? Do you understand what game pass actually is?
DAZN are the platform holder for Game Pass International. The Sunday night games for example are not available in the in the UK as Sky hold the TV rights.
In America for example NFL game pass is not available through DAZN.
Essentially instead of subscribing directly from the NFL you instead will subscribe through DAZN and yes this will be a separate subscription from the regular monthly DAZN sub.

Yes I know what NFL game pass is I have been subscribed to them for last 7-8 years, I know exactly how it works, and its moved from being Direct from NFL as a separate entity to DAZN

| sky do need to up their game if they want a new deal, stale old commentators/presenters who show bias to their ex clubs, and talk our game down at times like we are still in the 70s/80s.
worst of all for me, you dont even get to watch a full match replay, 10 minute highlight package as catch up, where as a football game that is on a friday evening will get replayed around 3 or 4 times over the weekend in full, and thats not even Premiership games too!

Genuine question, as I appreciate there’s a wide array of technology and ways of accessing content that I mightn’t be aware of… can you not record games you want to watch back?
Or do you mean for a casual viewer who might be looking for something to watch at random o’clock?

Both! How often do you see fans asking for copies of games if their sky box has failed to record the game, sure we have all suffered that once, or just forgotten to set record on the planner
