| Watching the football at the moment and obviously if Bradford go through it will be deemed a huge shock just as it was when they beat Arsenal. It's got me thinking when the last true cup shock was in Rugby League. Yes Fev beat Cas last year but I'm not sure you can class that as you couldn't really class Hull KR beating Warrington because they had slight chances of the win beforehand.
I can't really remember one since Salford beat Wigan in 1996. The gap is so big nowadays that lower league sides usually have 80+ put past them. Is this a reason for the cup losing its magic a little?

| I would class Hull KR's win against Warrington and Fev's win against Cas as proper Cup shocks, the gulf between the divisions is still pretty big regardless of how much momentum the underdog's had behind them on the day.
As for other shocks Salford beating Wigan must be one of the biggest.
Hunslet beat SuperLeague Huddersfield in 2004 too didn't they?
A fair few amateur clubs have knocked out Championship teams in the last decade too. Siddal beating Doncaster 26-0 gets an honourable mention there.
I love the Challenge Cup, no magic lost for me.

| The HKR win was a shock as the scores were quite high, which is unusual, shocks are generally low scoring with the lower team hanging on
Leigh have pushed a couple of teams in recent years, W1g4n in 02 ,Hull and Warrington at Hilton Park, not forgetting the televised win against Salford in 01 and then almost beating Warrington at Wilderspool until Alfie Langer pulled them out of the fire in the next round

The Hull KR and Fev wins were also against sides struggling in the league which is why I'd class it as a shock but not a massive onein the same category as Salford or Sheffield beating Wigan.
Wasn't aware of the Siddal result I'll be honest. That would definitely have to go down as one.
The Challenge Cup is great I agree, but there's no denying that people don't view it as they used too and crowd sizes show that.

| Sheffield's win in the cup was one of the biggest but in terms of beating Wigan at Wembley but Sheffield were an established top flight team so it was more the shock factor that they did it on the big stage.
Salford when they knocked Wigan off their 'Run' were in the Championship and Wigan were on there way to the league that season so a real shock factor
