| In yesterday's Q&A with Michael Carter, he was asked about players doing community coaching.
He suggested that the "red zone" around players still needed maintaining, for obvious health reasons, but also that it's likely that any club unable to fulfil a fixture in 2022, will simply lose the game.
Good move?

| Definitely a good move - if a club forfeits a game or can’t name a squad, for whatever reason, they should lose the points - simple.

1230.gif “You are playing a game of football this afternoon but more than that you are playing for England, and more even than that, you are playing for right versus wrong. You will win because you have to win. Don’t forget that message from home. England expects every one of you to do his duty.”:1230.gif |

| Health is more important than games, so whilst Covid restrictions are in place, it is fair for any game that is postponed because of Covid isn't a loss.
Anybody who thinks that games were called off for tactical reasons (when clubs lose money by not playing) is kidding themselves.

You don't think some clubs engineered contact shut downs/failed to manage player red zones, based on who they were due to play?
I can tell tell you that some clubs think that certain clubs did.

They definitely did, you only have to look at which games were getting called off to see that. It was Catalans or Saints games most of the time. The vast number of postponements was also a reflection of how unprofessional the staff and players are at some clubs. The bigger, better run clubs barely had any games called off, but the usual tinpot Yorkshire sides who've held the competition back since it's inception in 1996 clearly didn't act as professionally as they should.

I agree with your general post, but not sure quite who this bit is aimed at.
No club played more league games than Wakefield, for example.
A team further East ducked all the top teams away from home.

Ah yes, one extra, but I was thinking in response to the "Yorkshire" aspect of the comment.
I mean, one club played as few as 20 games...

| Wigan also had to re-schedule games that were cancelled whilst some clubs were awarded a 24-0 win.
There was a period where we played around 5 straight games against sides who hadn't played for 2 weeks.

I hope new rules are introduced to say only he player who tests positive for Covid, has to stand down, and not the rest of the squad/bubble if they test negative. There was the case of several Trinity players testing Covid negative, having to stand down because that one player who tested positive, was sat near those players on the Plane for the Catalans match.

It's tough to manage I guess, but if all players are double jabbed then a negative test should mean they can play.
I would be expected to come to work with a negative test.
