| Who is a player from your club who you think will come to our attention this year? Does not need to be one of the 'marquee' players. Could be youngster coming through, a player stepping up from the lower leagues, a new import or a player regaining his mojo.
Hull FC - I'll pick 2
Jordan Johnstone. Signed i'm sure as a back up hooker, however with a likely season starting injury to danny houghton, he has an early chance to stake a claim for the first choice role. While he probably won't replace houghton long term it would be intriguing if he makes it almost impossible for radford to drop him
Manu M'au. Anyone who watched the eels last season will know about this guy. Lots of power but also a surprising amount of skill to go with it. Shortlisted for the nrl team of the year, in the superleague he could be a wow. Second row does not provide too many men of steel but he could be a contender.

| For Leeds I’d say Cameron Smith and Stevie Ward.
Smith has all the attributes, it just hasn’t quite come together so far, if it does this year I think he could be great.
Ward could be a great backrower if he can just avoid injury which has plagued him so far.
Obviously there’s Konrad Hurrell as well who is always great to watch!

| For Wakefield I would say the return of Bill Tupou and Tom Johnstone to full fitness. They, alongside Matty Ashurst, formed one of the most lethal attacking left edges of 2018 which saw all 3 called up to the Dream Team.

| Looking good for Leeds with these varied picks, my pair to watch are Handley (who I think will score a bundle of tries) and Newman who might just be the real deal.

I think Ligi Sao will be an absolute beast for you this season.

| At Warrington i think Luis Johnson is finally going to find his rhythm and force his way in to the starting 17, he has the ability so i have my fingers crossed.
And i think Currie will re-find his form again for us and will be a massive attacking boost for us. He's played all season for us ish, and had an off season and now a pre-srason under his belt. I think he'll refind his confidence and make a big difference.

| The Catalans Dragons newly signed five eighth James “Jimmy wins” Maloney is going to have a huge effect on the fortunes of his new team. Playing alongside Joshua Drinkwater, with Samuel Tomkins at full back and Michael McIlorum at hooker, he will be part of the best spine in Super League. Expect that by April James Maloney will be short priced favorite with the book makers for Man of Steel.

Is there a way to create reminders on here? Would love to see how this one goes...

Is it obvious? It only seems obvious to Leeds fans who seem utterly desperate to big this player up. On boxing day he huffed and he puffed but didn't really trouble Trinities makeshift backline for much of the game.
On the plus side, he looked fitter than last year but that wouldn't be difficult. All the same, I'm yet to see the entertainment machine you do. I'm reasonably confident that should Johnstone, Tupou, Lyne and BJB be fit when we play you for real Hurrell's impact will be negligible as usual.

Would be nice to see Ward get a decent season under his belt, he has plenty of class.
For Wakefield I would say the return of Tom Johnstone and it will be interesting to see how a 2 stone lighter version of Dave Fifita goes this season.
A few players that I don`t think will get too many mentions on here but I think will have a great season in 2020: Adam Swift and Lewis Bienek at Hull FC, Kev Brown and Ikahihifo at Salford and Sosaia Feki at Cas.

That would be 2019 dream team member Konrad Hurrell
Yep on leeds fans bigging him up, if his impact was negligible image he would be man of steel if he steps up to average.

So!
Just another desperate example of an ever more desperate SL desperately trying to big up a very ordinary signing. Again I saw nothing to suggest he was one of the two best centres in SL but then I'm not a sycophantic RL journo so what do I know. Bill Tupou before injury played far better RL than Hurrell managed in an entire season, (even Lyne owned Hurrell at Headingley), yet Bill was soon forgotten such is our games snivelling desire to honour anything recently arrived from the NRL. Just my opinion.
I was at Headingley on boxing day and I swear the Leeds fans even cheered him when he bent his back to pick up a water bottle, it was cringing.
