| Whilst it wouldn’t be as big a signing as widdop, it would still be a massive coup for SL

| The big problem for a Super league club would be his asking price. He is currently allegedly earning AU$800,000. That converts to around £445,000. Even if he took a 20% pay cut, he would have to be a marquee player to fit under the salary cap of a Super League club. But who could afford him?
Leaving aside the clubs that are probably already content with their centres (Leeds, Wigan, St Helens, Catalans) and clubs that already have two marquee players (e.g. Warrington), it is hard to think of which club could afford him at close to his asking price. Hull FC? Hull KR? London? I don't know the answer.

Hull won't go for him. We have 3 good centres already on the books in Connor, Tuimivave and Griffin.

At anything close to 445k, I'd suggest that nobody in SL will be signing him.
That type of cash would only be paid out for a star half back, full back or no 9

The way Kelly is, we could offload Talanoa, Connor at 6 and Griffn the wing, we won't though and doubt we have the cap space.
Probably only London would have the space for him at this time.

Maybe. But would David Hughes even consider spending so much money on a centre, when the team already desperately needs a quality half and two fearsome props?

| The problem is he soon turns 31, is a lot of money to pay someone who’s only likely to be with you a year or two. You want to be spending that amount of money on someone in their prime, someone to build your squad around and Jennings doesn’t fit that for me.
All that said though it really wouldn’t surprise me if Toronto signed him at the end of the season.

Toronto should sign him now for 2 years given that he is available now. Jennings' centre combination with Ricky Leutele would be so potent that it would guarantee Toronto's easy promotion to Super League, and also a successful 2020 in Super League.

| There's a reason Parra are keen to get rid, he isn't worth anywhere near £450k anymore. He's lost a yard of zip over the last 2 years, his pace off the mark and ability to change direction at speed was his main asset and it was devastating in his pomp. Parra dropped him to reserve grade for a week or 2 last year and you have to have a very good reason to drop an $800k player to reserve grade.
He would still be a stand out in Super League but I don't think he could command any more than £200k.

Toronto don’t need star centre’s. They need a general at half back and a pack that’ll work it’s backside off.
They don’t need star backs, they need solid defensive ones. Their money needs spending on the pack if they want to stay in SL when/if they get there.

the problem with hull is that we are earmarked for major personnel changes next season in the forwards and probably will look to spend in that area - minichiello, manu, paea at the very least will need replacing and we need another prop anyway. also kelly likely to go. if we sign jennings on say a 2 year deal, that would be a lot of cap taken up and even on the marquee rule it would cost too much in wages

At what point do your posts get so ridiculous that you self destruct - can’t be far off, hopefully.
