I don't understand how any club could pay his contract this year within the salary cap? Are clubs allowed to retire players off or loan out players to reduce their spend against the cap? I know if a player returns from RU it only counts as half for the first season which would be 75k as a marquee player but surely non of the clubs he's linked with would be working under the cap.

Catalans bound. Even though the former Dally M winner was deemed not good enough for Rugby Union, he likes the french culture and would prefer to stay in France.

Read a rumour the other day about Saints wanting Gigot? Can't remember for the life of me where I saw this however. Think it was in the same article saying that they're likely to release Lomax. |
