Peacock was a great player, but he's an idiot.

I used to enjoy his rambling about us needing to reduce the number of teams to improve the quality of the league. An opinion that's perfectly valid, until you consider how involved he was with the players union (or whatever it's called). So let's get this straight Jamie, you are supposed so be looking out for the welfare of these guys, ans you are proposing we put a few dozen of them on drastically lower salaries, or indeed put them out of work all together?

More funding for SL clubs, doesnt the funding take care of 70% of max salary cap anyway leaving a professional organisation needing to find 400K of funding to fulfill max salary cap and he still wants more funding. Complete joker.

That was the transfer deadline - JP hasn't transferred.

They registered him as a player before the deadline in July just in case they needed him.

Instead of ending his career with winning with treble, he'll finish it with a relegation fight.

I'm sure he does think his current employers should get more handouts to prop them up and save his boss having to put his hand in his pocket again but maybe clubs should look to increase revenue rather than constantly putting out the begging bowl.

Personally, I think the RFL should withhold £100k of every clubs' SL money and fund a professional marketer to work in each club and put the rest to a centralised marketing budget to raise the profile of the game effectively in the areas clubs operate. Realistically, clubs have 2 options to increase revenue - increased gates or increased commercial/sponsorship. You can't rely on clubs to employ someone so the RFL should
