| Becoming more of a regular occurrence i fear.
See the penalty given against Brett Ferres for the push on Paul Aiton
Aiton hit the deck like a sack of spuds and stayed down. Pure simulation and milked the situation
The Ockers were at it during the WCC series and there are lots of players (from all teams) that love rolling around on the floor
Worrying i think

| If Chris Kyle wasn't dead I'd have been worried given the way he went down.
Embarrassed for him.

| Embarrassing from Alton. It's cheating. Poor from Tom Roby too. Could have changed the game that.
Banning Aiton for cheating would stop any player doing that in future. Pathetic.

| I used to scream abuse at our main offenders (Tomkins and Tommy Leuluai).
Sickens me
I use to be a fairly big football supporter, but watching grown adult men pretend to be injured, literally turns my stomach.
It needs to be stopped and players need to be named and shamed.
It will corrupt our game
No way can you have the tag line "toughest game" when this sort of thing happens.

| The thing is though given how the non yellow/red of the high shot on Penny I think players are going to start to think about milking an incident more than ever. It is the resultant rather than the offence that is being penalised, if someone is pushed and it's a genuine penalty it's more likely to be given if the player goes to the ground as if to emphasise the offence. IF Penny had stayed down (& given the incident it was lucky he wasn't seriously hurt) then I would have being more sure of a red card rather than a bottleless decision to do nothing.
The same problem is effecting the other code as well were incidents are being judged on the outcome rather than the immediate contact.

Exactly this.
Yes Aiton made a meal out of it and exaggerated it but at an attacking play putting your hands in the face is silly, doing it and shoving is just stupid, Why give the ref the decision to make? If Aiton doesn't go down, its a justifiable penalty, he goes down to force the issue. Best way of avoiding is don't put your hands in the markers face. Don't give the ref a decision to make, and don't give the opposition a chance to buy a penalty.
From the refs end, ref's shouldn't be waiting for a player to go down because if they do, that's what a pro player will do. Even if a player isn't hurt, make the decision on the offence. If a player is unscathed because of luck not judgement, that shouldn't be in the transgressors favour.

| Diving goes on at every PTB from what I've season this season. Literally every time a player gets up to play the ball he dives into the first markers' knees trying to milk the penalty

| Aiton is an absolute joke
2 x dives to win two pen's
Watch him interfering at every PTB trying desperately to get the attacker to lash out, just so he can drop like a fairy.

| Terrible dive.
We should institute the man of Jelly award at the man of steal awards.
A bit like the golden Rasberry for the worst acting. The man of Jelly awards for the worst dive. The embarrassment alone should stop players doing it, add to it that the award should be given in the form of a fish slap by a team of cheerleaders and that will stop it all.

| Tough as teak Paul Aiton goes down like a sack of spuds .
The antics of Football are laughable, to introduce it into our game is sacrilege, the ref has enough to deal with without players faking penalties & it wasn’t just Aiton or just Leeds tonight.

| This is something that has been increasingly creeping into our game for the last couple of seasons. I noticed a lot of it going on in the World Club Challenge and teams are beginning to con refs all the time at the ruck area. Personally I think that penalty last night would not be given 9 times out of ten and only was because Aiton dived.
As far as the moaning at refs goes, I understand the player's frustrations as the standard of refereeing is horrendous. Bentham pinged Hudds for some dubious laying on at the start of last night's game and also where Leeds players had been trapping Hudds players in [they had been no messier than Leeds in the ruck]. Anyway, he pinged Hudds about 4 on the bounce and then Leeds score three tries and have all the momentum, then all of a sudden he pings Leeds about 4 times on the bounce. Now, do we actually think Leeds' discipline actually changed? I don't. I just think Bentham knew how he'd shaped the game in their favour and decided to balance it out.
