| Was thinking about starting a thread on O Loughlin when he lost the ball and got a penalty earlier, if he can't play the ball quick he throws it away and gets a penalty he does it every game. How long will the refs be continuously fooled by his clean cut image.

| I often defend the referees as I think it's a very difficult job, but it was inexcusable to not give that as a penalty.
At best it's obstruction, it could easily be classed as a dangerous trip.

| Quick question. Did Wigan have a choice for either a Salford Drop out or play the ball back at the handling error? Is it the refs choice? Salford could of easily got the ball back then which means no advantage for Wigan. I know you don't see it often that you regather a drop out but just a question for you knowledgable fans.

Refs judgement, was spoken about by cummins a few weeks ago in a similar situation.

Hardly, He's one of the niggliest players in the game. Been at it for years.

| I'd go back and actually look at how Chase kicks that ball for the drop out. Does it ever actually bounce on the floor? It looked like he just did a grubber kick from the replays.
But if he did kick it correctly, then yes I think SoL should have been penalised for his efforts. Dangerous contact if nothing else.

Thought I was the only one who saw that. Looked quite clear that he threw it down to me as well. Annoying for us Salford fans how it led to a try as well, we have been awful going forward tonight though.

| Don't particularly like Lockers but Daryl Griffins "accidental" brush on a Wigan players chest with his studs after his confrontation was missed too.
Dire game. To be fair to Wigan you'd think it was Salford who'd have had the short turn around.

| Some very poor reffing. Both from Bentham and his TJ's.

The penalty for the rip, that was overruled by the tj, only to be shown as a blatant rip was very very poor indeed.

| Missed high tackle at the start by Manfredi and looked like there were a few instances of deliberates knees to the head whilst peeling off tackle from Wigan early on (possibly the TV angle though).
As it goes it hasn't impacted the result, but very poor performance.
