Keep hearing players are just going to Salford for the money as if it’s something new!!! Wake up all you Salford haters Wigan and the other so called big clubs have been poaching players with promises of riches far above what they were currently earning at so called smaller clubs for years!!! I’ve watched dozens of talented players move to the likes of Wigan, Warrington and saints for the money!!! So now the balance of power is swinging get used to it!!!! If Salford can attract the best players in the world because they can afford it so be it and bring it on!!!

Wigan, Warrington and Saints.. all teams who have had success. Good example.

Until Salford begin to remotely look like they'll win something in our lifetime, they will continue to be seen as a club who attract players wanting a big pay day.

You look at any other big name. Tell them 3 years ago they'll end up at Salford. They'd have snubbed it. That's the difference.

If London was in Salford's situation right now, buying up all these players - everyone would be creaming themselves. As it is, good luck to Salford. It's how the world works.

The likes of Leeds/Saints/Wigan are always usually favourites to be in finals and winning things as well as the money though.

Big difference between getting good money and challenging for and winning trophies.......compared to getting good money and challenging for 10th in the table.

Unfortunately for Castleford, having not much money doesn't guarantee keeping that winning team. Should be interesting to see who Powell has lined up for next year if the rumoured departures are true.

Whilst I might agree that Salford might have to spend over the odds to get their men at present it isn't a bad city to live in at all.

It is a large, diverse place and sure there are areas that you might not chose to live in, but, there are plenty of "delightful" bits to compete with anything that the likes of Wigan, Warrington, St Helens and Wakefield can offer

has airedale been flattened now then ? if ever the British army needed an estate to prepare itself for an op in an unfriendly occupied built up area . that estate and its occupants would be the perfect training tool

It would help if they knew a good player when they saw one instead of letting the likes of Sneyd go out on loan.
