32137_1302980312.jpg Fat blokes in the mud, flat caps, bogs that drain pi55 directly onto your boots - Now it's all 'Big Ask', 'Arm Wrestle', 'Collision' 'Contact' 'Facials' 'Upper Body Strength' 'Big Units' 'Scooting from Dummy Half' 'Energy Levels' 'Laying the Platform' ‘Middles’ and 'T-R-Y'. Let’s not forget resilience.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32137.jpg |

| Who was the last Union to League convert and I'm think about high profile and impact on the game. I'm not counting Gareth Thomas or Andy Powell although both were high profile-ish. Harris was a return to League rather than a convert.
Anyone in the last 10 years?

| Mark Tuafua.
Played Union till age 25.
Went to Newcastle Knights training to support his younger brother Larry, who was a good junior.
Long story short, Mark got a run for the Knights and Larry got cut from the squad and now plays Union.
Mark played firstgrade in his 6th game of league ever - had about an 80 game firstgrade career and retired after playing for Samoa in the World Cup.

| Etu Nabouli
Fijian Union 7s player who played his first season of League in 2013 for Penrith reserves. He scored 27 tries for the season and the coaches have been quoted as saying he would have played firstgrade if the salary cap had allowed.
He is currently injured, but would have been a good chance of playing firstgrade in round one if not.
A lot of people are tipping him to be rookie of the year 2014.

Did he actually play for Fiji? Isn't he the hotel porter Fitler spotted.
Semi Radradra Fji 7's player now at eels. Tomkins bottled tackling him today

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| Maybe not high-profile in union but didn't Gaz Raynor start his career in the other code?

| For my own side, Salford, we had a long line of Union converts up until the early 90's. The last lot were Adrian Hadley, Peter Williams (Who got capped for GB RL), Steve Kerry, David 'Dai' Young. Possibly a couple of others I can't recall at the moment. Not all 'High profile' but all turned into good RL players.

Championship RL clubs could do worse than consider any young lower league 6' 8"+, 20 stone+ RU second rowers (if they can find any that can run) to groom as RL props. There's a lot more of em here than in Aus.

| Liam Botham did stints with Leeds, London and, I think, Wigan. Not the most gifted but he did give it his all while with Leeds.

| For leeds the last major RU player we snapped up was Jim Fallon I'd say. Signed in 1992 from Bath and was on the verge of being called up for England RU. 74 tries in 140 appearances was a good return.
I'd say Gallagher too but he never really cut it following his injury and sank without trace
