| Ireland squad:@ Dave Allen (Widnes), Luke Ambler (Halifax), Bob Beswick (Leigh), Damien Blanch (Catalan Dragons), Danny Bridge (Warrington), Ben Currie (Warrington), Liam Finn (Featherstone, capt), Simon Finnigan (Leigh), Scott Grix (Huddersfield), Simon Grix (Warrington), Kurt Haggerty (Barrow), James Hasson (Manly), Rory Kostjasyn (North Queensland), Stuart Littler (Leigh), Tyrone McCarthy (Warrington), James Mendeika (Swinton), Anthony Mullally (Huddersfield), Eamon O’Carroll (Widnes), Apirana Pewhairangi (Parramatta), Pat Richards (Wigan), Colton Roche (Sheffield), Marc Sneyd (Salford), Josh Toole (St George Illawarra), Brett White (Canberra).
Some players have missed out though namely
Chris Bridge and Ben Harrison who decided to chance their arm playing for England after having their heads turned by Tony Smith. I hope they enjoy watching the World cup on telly. I hope Paddy Mcilorum joins them.

Watch it or i will scratch your eyes out.
seriously i felt Smith misused his position to influence players and that it undermined international the competition ( along with getting rid of GB).

| he's not though.it's the thought process of every English (and some non English) top level playerthat they want to play for the best international team. and with the exception of tyke I'd wager good money that almost all of that squad would play for England if they were playing well enough and got the call.
I'll warn you in advance that Ben Currie will definitely be pulling an England jersey on in future

| There's a good back-story somewhere to do with how Apirana Pewhairangi qualifies.

Looks ok to me, they will be better than some of the teams at the world cup.

Either
or
Quote: Durham Giant "His Mother was born in County Cork.'"
or both I suppose. It's not exactly that odd to have 2nd/3rd+ generation families in the British Isles with similar names any more though.
