Huddersfield on a 2-year deal.

bit.ly/Q5YOUr

Quite surprised tbh what Huddersfield would want with him? He's only played a couple of games in the past couple of years, bet they wont be paying him much surely?

Huddersfield are too good for him. Was once one of the worlds most feared props, but that was due to reputation. Mason ruined that reputation in one fell swoop with a half hearted jab, but wigan still fell for it and paid a stupid amount of money for him that resulted in them having to cheat to avoid ralegation. Watchimg him get used by castleford as a rag doll whilst at wigan was a hilarious memory of his playing career. Sure its on youtube somewhere

Terrible signing for hudds, unlessthey are after half price subway meals for their players

WHy did you find it funny? Why does a players downfall give you any satisfaction whatsoever?

Yes he was playing for Wigan but he's never struck me as a dirty or arrogant player.

A player blighted by cruel injuries and the tragic loss of his mother and people are slating him

At one time he was one of the best props in the world, and has a chance to leave his mark on the game again.

His dedication to get back playing is a credit to him, and whatever club he signed for I'd wish him well.

Wow, way to demonstrate utter ignorance of the subject at hand.

Fielden will do well at Hudds. He's the consummate professional and would be a benefit to any SL pack. I seem to recall in his recent comeback game against Saints he had a very good solid game and made a few of his infamous runs, bouncing off several players.

He's suffered a long-term injury but he's used that time off well. He was never the biggest prop and that had started to show as the opposition got bigger and bigger and began to overpower him, but Stuart has bulked up considerably and I'd back him against most forwards in SL. That said, Wane never spoke too enthusiastically about his return and it was obvious Stuart wasn't part of his plans, which appear dedicated to bringing through youth.

Yes, Cas nailed him twice in a game a few years ago. Happens to everyone. If that still gives you a hard-on I can only assume you're stroking Saddened with the other hand as you type.

Good look Stu, a true gent and a true professional, hope you tear it up at Hudds.

Spot on. Despite what some idiots think, he'll do a good job for the Giants. However much I dislike any team, I would never wish injuries on their players. FFS its their living.

Prop forwards are hard to come by these days. Fielden is a shrewd signing for Huddersfield.

I thought he had retired from the game but I think the nasty comments are out of order. Lets see your confidence level when you get knocked out in front of a few thousand people. He was just starting to look away when that coward Mason did him anyway. Was over the moon when Jamie got him back. Thats what sticking up for your teams mates is. Good luck Stuart I thought you were just coming back to your best before the last injury.

Saints were after him too, along with several other clubs. Seeing as how you like to see props used like a rag doll, you must really enjoy having Dem Perry playing for you. Even Rob Burrows bullies him.

I bet you actually cheered when Willie Mason connected didn't you? Stuart Fielden WAS one of the best and most feared forwards in International rugby. I have a lot of respect for him as he represented Great Britain so well. He'll still be able to do a job for Huddersfield.

I'd quite like to see how you'd react to a 'half-hearted' jab like that?
