Blimey.

That's horrible.

I'd liked to have seen a picture of them once they were cleaned up. I think the paint taken from the graphics on the pitch make it look much worse than it actually is.

Of course there are similar injuries sustained during the summer months when the pitches are hard.

Aren't we all glad it's a summer sport now?

Did any of you see the photo of Richie Mathers legs that he posted on Twitter after playing on the ipitch,worse than the above photo.

Thegame last night was only played due to it been on the telly,otherwise that would/should have been called off.

This is pathetic. Any cuts or bruises sustained in any game this year will just get the reaction 'well it would have happened on the I-pitch'.

I've seen both pictures and think ashursts knees were worse. I think this is proof, even though it was very bad conditions at Salford that cuts, bruises and grazes are part and parcel of the game.

I've not really heard any other complaints coming from the game so I'm going to credit Salford for getting a game played in the opening week of SL.

Other cluns should applaud the iPitch; if it's as bad as they say, then the home team will be crippled for most of the season and so there will be at least one bye for everybody.

I'll tell you what's pathetic - all those s on twitter giving any player who speaks out about the pitch abuse. They would have you think that RL used to play on stone and glass!
