*Not decided on this position. Shenton had a great 4 nations in 2010. Atkins was ripped apart in 2010 4 nations, but had a great season this year. Yeaman didn't have a bad series this year, made some great tackles. Bridge has good experience.

Without wishing to put too much pressure on him, keep an eye on Chris Hill's progress at Warrington this season. Mobile prop who often did 65-70 minute stints in the Championship. Great footwork, work rate and a good pair of hands for a front rower.

Too much hype about Widdop. Does'nt perform nearly as you would expect to justify it. Unfortunately half backs is our weak spot. We produce far too many one dimensional players in these positions and every club in SL runs the same set patterns.

Peacock, Morley, Sinfield all need to call it a day at international level. Chase shouldn't have been there in the first place but I think Widdop and Lomax could be a very decent partnership for a fair few years and compliment each other well. They could also set up attacking plays which both Chase and Sinfield were very ineffective at doing throughout this years 4N.

Getting an odd 10 or 15 minute spell isnt going to give him chance to show off what he can do. I dont know if you watch much NRL or not but he was excellent for Melbourne last season.

But what are you basing that on? His five/ten minute cameos at the end of games?

He looks the business in the NRL and IMO looked lively when he's come on. He should have started the series at 6.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_39110.jpg

Basically two of Englands top performers throughout the regular season were out of the tournament. Both should and would have played had they been fit.

Sam Burgess
Sean O'loughlin

Our team looks much much better with them in and suddenly there is a little bit of depth.

He's played every game for Melbourne in the past season (all at 6). They finished as minor premiers this season and got to the semi's of the playoffs. He can't be that bad, can he?

The fact that he's only gotten about 30 minutes today, 4 last week, etc means that he hasn't had the chance to properly show what he can do.

I think that a halves combo of Widdop and Lomax could prove to be very exciting.

Factor in Kallum Watkins if he ever stays fit. Would be best British centre since at least Newlove.

Hardaker should also be an international by the end of next year.

Widdop and Lomax should be bedded in as half-back combo prior to World Cup.

Oddly, after years of saying that we match the Aussies in the forwards but not the backs, with the lack of highest-quality replacements for Morley and Peacock and given the lesson at Elland Road it looks like the forwards might be more of a problem.

I thought that there were no internationals planned for 2012. Should be not be asking who the team for 2013 should be?

If so no Peacock and Morley.

1. Widdop
2. Hall
3. Shenton/Atkins
4. Reed
5. Briscoe
6. Tomkins
7. Lomax
8. Graham
9. Roby
10. S. Burgess
11. Wilkin
12. Ellis
13. Westerman

14. LMS
15. A N Burgess
16. Mossop
17. ???

Hopefully some players to make the squad have yet to make their first team debuts yet.

Winning Minor Premiers in the NRL isn't good enough?

To win, we need all the Burgess brothers on the field... icon_biggrin.gif

That'd be my first choice, no goal kicker though. I too have concerns over widdop, but we really have a lack of halves.

My concern is a lot of our top props are retiring soon

Peacock Morley Sinfield JJB Wilkin Carvell Maguire Bailey out for good.

Whilst Chase has failed in this series, the exit of Sinfield would allow him to play his natural role.
