| I know where only half way through the first game of the four nations but personally I don't think the half back partnership of Sinfield and Chase is working, there certainly not setting the game alight, and as the bbc commentators keep saying, they lack a midfield general which is absolutely correct.
So what could be changed, who could be brought in to make the half back area work, certainly Australia and NZ won't be too worried.
Widdop and McGuire can be brought in, possibly Tomkins could be moved to half back but who would make way, Sinfield or Chase or both?

| I agree and even J Davies has spotted that one! Also, Reed for me is very poor and will cause us problems against Australia.

| Mc Namara needs to suck it up and realise he's made a mistake by playing Sinfield at 6, move Widdop to Stand off, Sinfield to the bench, drop JJB or Wilkin and bring in Carvell

| Maybe that interchange is a sign of things to come, Widdop on for Chase, and yes I think Sinfield as played ok but him and Roger don't form a good partnership.

He's played well but he and Chase are not operating together as a unit. No one is running the game. We have made heavy weather of things and look disjointed.

| Why did Wales not pick some of the Aussies and Kiwis that play in Super league. Maybe they would have a better chance?

Hes been ineffective in terms of creation with ball in hand unless you just count box standard 1 st man passing, he's failed, along with Chase, to form any understanding or fluency with his alfback partner, goal kickings been poor, we've had JJB. And Wilkin finding themselves with the ball in hand on the last tackle and putting poor kicks in and we've had Sinfield kicking on the 4th tackle from centre field on a regular basis AGAINST WALES!
Poor and we need better if we're going to trouble Aus & NZ?
Problem now is that McNamara has pinned his hopes on this pairing against all conventional thinking. He's pi55ed a lot of fans off to get Chase into the set up, ignored Brough and has left Widdop, the Melbourne Storms stand off, on the bench. We are too lightweight on the bench with JJB and Wilkin while Carvell one of the form props f the season who needs game time gets left out.

| We struggled to hold possession and make as many yards with the forwards as expected but not sure if that was all down to the half backs. Sinfields field kicking was good, his put some nice passes that lead to tries and his tackle count must be impressive for a player in the halfs.

| have to go with chase at 7 and widdop at 6! Widdop shown in ten minutes that he can bring more to our halves than sinfield, Sinfield needs to be on the bench and replace roby with him, the play the ball will be quicker next week as we know the aussies will get their way, lets run with two "hookers"

| Chase had a poor game, made far too many wrong decisions. Sinfield played like a 13, but he's a 6 and thus needs to start playing like one and controlling the game. Widdop is surely a must for selection next week, but IMO Danny Brough is the only England eligible half back with the ability to control a game and guide the team around the park, which is worrying.

| Thought Sinfield was by far the best half of the 2 today. He did the the basics well and showed some decent touches. Chase for me is a bit all over the place at the moment, he seems to go for the hollywood play everytime he gets it when all thats needed is a good accurate pass.
This is what happens when one team is so much better than the opposition everyone goes for glory when the emphasis should be on playing as a unit.

| It's a tough call for next week then who we should go with, as we all know there isn't a midfield general in the squad, maybe Brough should have been chosen, Widdop came on and played well, Chase was out of sorts, Sinfield did play ok, Tomkins can't really be moved from full back, we also have McGuire in the mix.
I think basing it on today's performance we should go with a Sinfield and Widdop partnership, with Chase on the bench, maybe he could be brought on for Roby at hooker?

| We're desperate for an organising scrum half. Doesn't matter which 2 of chase/widdop/sinfield we play, it won't be any better
