| Personally i don't. firstly i think plenty of centres over here deserve to be selected over him, Bridge, Yeaman and Atkins (who i thought would never cut it at international level, but he really has improved this year)
But my gripe is i get the feeling he doesn't want to play for England. If he did he would have made himself available instantly. But no one knows who he wants to represent because he hasn't come out and said. In the sun today (which i know isn't the most reliable paper in the world) said he's waiting until the squads are announced. To me this is him just looking out for himself, not representing his country. I only want ENGLISH players who are PROUD to represent their country playing for England. Not players who only want it as personal gain. Not going on what The Sun says, only that he hasn't come said "I'm English and i want to represent England"

| It's hard to choose what nationallity he is. He has only ever known australia, but his heritage is English. I think a decision like his should take time and he will want to make sure he makes the correct one.
Aside from that he is a class above the centres we have plying there trade in SL. Even if he has only played 20 odd games. If we could have him and Watkins in at centres we would have two international quality centres for years to come.

| If he wants to play for England, if his heart's in playing for England and he trains hard for England, then IMO yes he should be selected for england, same goes for any other player

| At centre we can realistically choose from:
Welham, Reed, Yeaman, Atkins, Shenton, Murphy and Bridge.
My top two would be Reed and Atkins.

You do realise Bridge put his hand up for Ireland before England, don't you? Do you object to former Scotland international Danny Brough pulling on the white and red of England too?

| Yes, he's the best English centre so if he's available he's a must pick.

| If he wants to play for us then yes.
He's been playing well in NRL and certainly deserves a shot.

| The Aussies have been stealing Kiwi's and Islanders for years. We should pick the best players available to us and as the NRL is the worlds premier RL competition it makes sense to take players from there.

| I haven’t seen a lot of Reed and I would very much appreciate an objective view of him from somebody who has
I have searched for him on the video site and found “50 Metres Solo Try vs Melbourne Storm 2011” but it’s very difficult to judge from small clips (plus the tackling from Melbourne in that try would embarrass an under 9’s team)
He doesn’t look particularly big or that athletic compared to an Atkins or Watkins... why is he so special after just 20 games?

| ppssttt he's not even that good...the only reason he's got his chance this year is because, believe it or not, theres a worrying lack of 3/4 talent coming through in australia.....outside of inglis & hodges the rest are very ordinary..
that 50m try dunbar...look at the melbourne winger,he's the last defender and he runs away from reed its a joke

He isnt massive but he isn't that small. I've seen him a handful of times this season and he's impressed. I'm sure I saw him score a couple of tries in a game earlier this season and a quick check shows he's scored 12 in 25 games in the best league in the world against the best defences in the world. He has to have something about him to be able to command a starting place in the Brisbane team in his first full season. He's an English born lad who wants to play for England. Only in rugby league would someone see this as a problem.

If your last sentence is referring to me, let me assure you that I have no problem with an English qualified player playing for England
I agree that the NRL is the best league in the world but I do not therefore assume that every player in that league is better than their equivalent playing in the Super League

really??
from the odd game i see live, the loads of games i listen too live on 2GB and NRLfulltime...defense on the fringes has become laughable...down the middle yeah its a slog and a grind and you make really hard yards...but chuck it wide and the defense becomes so fragmented thats its making a lad that was laying brick last year look like a world beater...
not everything in the NRL is awesome!
