I agree with the decision. I think Rangi has too many ups and downs and isn't in a game over the 80minutes enough to be deserving of this. Don't get me wrong the guy produces some absolute magic but Tomkins does it pretty much every game and it doesn't matter if it's in the first or the last minute.
I hope he doesn't defect to Union in his career and becomes an all time great for club and country. Rugby League has never got the exploits it deserved from the likes of Robinson and Farrell switching codes and the same would happen with Sam IMO.

Can't agree about Farrell. I think we got all we could out of him. He was injured for 18 months after the move anyway so we'd have gotten nothing out of him, by which time he'd have been passed international rugby on his return. |
