| After attending the semifinal on Sunday - I went along thinking it would actually be quite nice for Cas to get to a major final after years without anything really to get too excited about.
Cas were desperately unlucky not to be going to Wembely and had Rangi Chase been successful with his drop goal attempt, that dream may have well been a reality.
What was most dissapointing however was the reaction of the Cas fans after the game. Scenes included Cas fans hurling verbal abuse in a aggressive manner, using foul language and baiting Leeds fans to try to get them to trade punches - this was whilst ladies and children were in amongst the crowd.
After such behaviour I'm glad that Cas didnt win the match and that sort of behaviour was digusting however hard done by they felt.
Our game needs to be played and watched in the correct spirits and Cas fans you let your club, your sport and the game down on Sunday.

| I can only apologise on behalf of Cas fans everywhere. I left the game as soon as the deciding kick went over so didn't see any of the agro you're referring to but have no doubt it occurred. On the way in it was evident there were a number of Cas fans aled up and quite vocal and it was always likely that in a match that ended the way it did some would not be able to contain their frustrations.
Cas do have plenty of decent fans in the same way that every side has some idiots that give the rest a bad name...

| Most of the Cas fans I came across were pretty decent. They were understandably gutted but they managed to partake in a bit of banter.
And they're all supporting Wigan in the final, apparently.

Some talk of Bradford Northern and some of Hull and Leeds
Of Wigan and St Helens and such great teams as these
Of all the teams in Rugby league with me you will agree
The best team in the whole wide world is Wakefield Trinity!

| Not the first time they've done something like this, although it seems to becoming more frequent.
RFL need to get tough on this club, although when they do Cas fans scream of "victimisation".
I have very few pleasant feelings towards their fans in anyway, yet I've never lowered myself to these standards.
What can we do to protect our game? A free (but mandatory) chemical castration with every free CT season ticket?

At least your council doesn't have to pick up the tab for them! Wish mine didn't! Anyone for buying a redundant bit of land in the east of the Wakefield district? LCC I'm looking at you!

| There were police stood not far away from the stadium and had they been on hand at the point where Leeds + Cas fans interchanged I'm sure that would prevent such a vocal exchange.
On a wider basis, RL fans need to stop this blame culture whereby teams lose due to poor refeering and certainly shouldnt be directing their anger towards the opposing fans who werent even being arrogant in any way.
I think the standards of refeering in this country isnt great but to quote Wayne Bennett - if your team is good enough you shouldnt need to rely on refeering decisions.
I must say I thought both teams were very average on Sunday with the only player who stood out with any real class was Rangi Chase.

What, get tougher than relegating them in place of a team who blatantly cheated to avoid the drop?

What a surprise - a Wakey fan diving in to stick the boot into Cas. It wasn't Cas who recently had a fan run onto the pitch to remonstrate with the referee when she didn't agree with his decisions. And before you say it, being female and of advancing years is no mitigation!
Cas have a larger number of fans in the Wakefield district than Wakefield do, ergo we contribute a larger amount of council tax that goes to paying for the upkeep of the district so we're entitled to at least our fair share of any assistance that the council offers the 2 clubs - not very much I know!
I dare say the majority of Cas fans object to their money going towards assisting the Wakey club in any way...

Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

I can honestly say I didn't see any trouble what so ever. At the end, I left with everyone else and walked in procession towards the buses. Nobody said anything we just lined up at the buses waiting to get on. The leeds fans walked passed and still nothing. I think we were all still too gutted to say anything. To say the reaction of "Cas fans" is a complete exageration. In your words there were 6,000 of us wanting blood. Total rubbish! It was probably the usual dozen or so morons.
I just hope Leeds don't take their dozen or so morons to wembley again this year. Remember what happen last year?

Or how about that Leeds fan who got kicked out of the Millennium Stadium at the start of the season for throwing a bottle at Dean Widders?

Highley unlikely as the majority live with their sisters/brothers/cousins in the same council tax band A house.
Added to that ive never heard anything as ridiculous -- Cas fans paying there council tax!!!!!

| i never saw any trouble after the game and tbh the atmosphere outside the ground was very low key,the vast majority of cas fans headed back to where the coaches were parked and very little was said or spoken.
the leeds fans were also very quiet considering they had just won to get to wembley but i think they could also sence that goading wasnt the right thing to do considering how diassapointed the cas fans were.
inside the ground the cas fans were magnificent has quoted by kevin sinfield and backed the team with tremendous vocal support which has gone unnoticed by the op but then again some folk will do anything to have a moan and look to bring a club down.

| I'm sure of course that there was no goading from Leeds fans.
All clubs have their share of idiots, I saw a group of Leeds fans after the game at the front of the stadium goading an elderly man with a walking stick but you don't find me coming on here tarring the entire Leeds club with that brush. One of the people involved was old enough to know better.
For what it is worth, I thought both sets of fans were mostly fantastic outside the stadium after the match and mixing together without any bother. There was some chanting from Leeds as to be expected but I thought it was particularly quiet from both sets of fans. There was only that one incident that I saw.

| Apologies I didnt intend to accuse or portray all Cas fans as I am sure the vast majority behaved like the majority of RL fans.
However there were some rather abusive fans who were extremely intimidating - this was outside the Polypipe stand just after the game.
My 1st reaction was that I was very glad I didnt bring my 4 year old newphew, which is not the type of thought I would ever want attending an RL match.
