| I see from the League Express that Crusaders face a Winding Up order from HMRC on the 10th November.
I wonder if a 'Witch Hunt' kind of thread will ensue, similar to that when Wakefield faced the same?

| Crusaders will avoid any flack, they will simply take the franchise to another part of Wales as another newco Crusaders. I have it on good authority Llanberrislanlugginllabak will be the next stop for the roadshow, and this is from a bloke who would love to see a Wrexham and Cardiff/Swansea SL teams filled with Taffs.

| Think there will be a number of other clubs facing the taxman soon.
I hope the Crusaderers survive this issue and prosper. I certainly don't want then to go under.

So Wakey fans keep saying. Ok maybe your club was hit due to image rights (yet to see that official?) but any club with good planning would of known when the rule change came in and implemented that. Hudds lost out on Nathan Fien a few seasons back as this new rule meant he'd get less money in his pocket, so if they knew to process that why didn't these other sides?
It is another blot on the Welsh side unfortunately but one hopefully they'll come out be honest about pay it off and move on. Therefore showing a commitment to the cause and the club. If they keep delaying it and need outside help then it will be a major worry for another side again hopefully. If clubs want to attract investment in this day and age they need to clear up any outstanding issues first and foremost as businessmen won't just throw money away anymore, they don't want to come in and have to clear X amount of debt, they want to come in and INVEST their money on developing the clubs.

| The 6 'illegals' are still owed money (regardless of the fact they shouldn't have been here). Current players still owed money. Jon Sharp taking them to a tribunal over his dismissal.
Incidentally how are Wrexham FC doing since the new input of RL money?

If the Crusaders have a chairman in an IVA, play in a disgusting stadium, rely on 10+ non fed trained players after more than 10 years in SL and have 2 winding up orders in a year there is every chance such a thing could happen. let's see.

When was Sharp sacked?

| this is crazy - how can the club get into such serious financial difficulty so early (one might say "again" but of course you could argue the last time was a different club). There has to have been unsustainable spending over a reasonably short period of time. Given that crowds have been reasonably decent - unless they have been giving the tickets away - they cannot blame attendances.
Who approved the business case at the RFL when a franchise was "awarded", and will Blackpool receive the same help (if any) that the RFL would give Crusaders? After all they are a relatively new club in an expansion area.

Not every business that fails does so because it spends more than it could ever have reasonably expected to generate.

Don't know, but apparently there coaching staff were costing £350000pa and the only ones to escape the cuts are the physio and conditioner...oh and Iestyn Harris....thats if Nobby and Harris were actually being paid by the Crusaders and not by someone else

| Something is definitely going on as both the companies registered to the club's registered office (Celtic Crusaders Ltd and Wrexham Crusaders Ltd) are both listed as "Proposed to Strike Off" (i.e. cease to exist) at Companies House.

Which would tie in with the League Express story about the winding up order. It is HMRC who will have made the proposal to strike off.

Not sure how you figure that out, weren't Wakefield also subject to a winding-up order?
