“You are playing a game of football this afternoon but more than that you are playing for England, and more even than that, you are playing for right versus wrong. Why was that try disallowed then?

Or the Hull winger was offside. Either way it was defiantly the correct call from Thaler.

Getting to a final is next. Then a top 6 finish or semi-final appearance. Then I suppose the derby counts as the most important league fixture. Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else. Quite sad, really![/quote:1juz9zgo] SPOT ON! Because Yeaman was in front of the play of the ball. It looked debatable on the telly but the lines-man seemed adamant so fair enough on the call but when the hell do you ever see something like that given? Where's the consistency?

Also enjoying how despite at least half of the PTB's not been played 'correctly' only select ones get called up. The ref swung the game. He first gave the penalty for not playing the ball (which again is fair enough as long as they do it consistently), then Wakefield take one drive, play the ball as bad as Tansey, then Cooke goes over and knocks the ball on... Great refing.

Incorrect play the ball although saying that every team in RL could get done for that.

Looked like Manu knocked it out of Cookes hands and then Cooke falls on it, so try for mine

The Cooke try was never a try for me, I think it was a loose carry and the ball carrier should be able to keep control of the ball, so advantage to the defensive team...

How often do you see an attacking player in front of the play the ball anyway, so it wouldn't be given that often would it?

Quote: Matty_HullFC " then Cooke goes over and knocks the ball on... Great refing.'"

Use your eyes. Manu knocked the ball out of Cooke's hands. And before anyone says it, its not a penalty try because they ruled that option out a few years ago in the case of ball steals over the line.

yeaman may have been offside but he came back onside IMO, he must have done to collect the pass
incorrect play of the ball, well there was an effort made even though there was no contact, definite flick of the ankle towards the ball

and what about benefit of the doubt to the attacking team?
neither marker was square and noone had both feet on the line, wrong call for me - ref was looking to disallow the try

I agree the best side are winning however it's a joke how much of a lack of consistency there is. Penalise them all or penalise none.

well it wasn't a game for the purists was it? like hemmings said on commentary its 5 drives and a kick all the way, hull were probably worse than wakey, they looked completely devoid of idea's. saying that however wakefield's defence stood up to what few attacks hull could manage and fully deserved the win.

If you are offside at the play the ball you are offside till the next play the ball .....thats why the try was disallowed
