Is it P45 time for Eddie and Stevo? They drive me up the wall with their ill informed opinions about the game. I'd keep Bill Arthur and recruit one of the Aussies from Ch9 (i think it's ch9 in oz) because not only are they informitive, but they are hilarious at the same time.

Just to add-I liked Angela Powers and 'Baz and Tez' are good on the Championship shows. I like Phil Clarke for his controversial views too.

Stevo doesn't even know the rules, man. He's hopeless.
He's meant to be an expert, but I can honestly say he's never taught me anything about the game. My career was 90% rugby union, so although i consider myself reasonably knowledgable about the game, I haven't had a n awful lot of coaching - The other ex-pros like Baz and Tez can (and quite often) give you insights into things like defensive strategies that are really interesting.
In fact, since I watch the majority of games on Sky+, I just fast forward over the bits when he speaks. Does he still think half backs man mark each other - [i"Leon Pryce really has to make sure he gets in the face of Danny McGuire tonight to shut him down!"[/i???

I don't like Eddie, but, if you ever listen to Bill Arthur try and do his job, the commentry sounds dull as ditch water. He couldn't do eddie's job full time.

What they need to find is a young commentator who knows and loves RL to do the speaking and maybe 1 more ex-player or coach for analysis.

I reckon you could get joey johns.

If you look at channel 9s commentry side their the best in what the do.

Either coaching or playing, they know rugby league inside out.

That's the type of commentry we need, is it coincidence that their mostly half backs?

I enjoy even poor games because of them, and laugh every time I watch NRL.

Barry McKenzie has forgotten more about RL than most mere mortals will ever know.

I do think Stevo is embarrassing for the game in the UK, I like when Phil Clarke disagrees with him over a decision, shows him up.

Brian Carney is good, get him more involved, anyone that watched him on the footy show he was good and had a laugh on there. There are many personalities in League but we're not using them.

Agree about the Bill Arthur comments, dull and boring tone in my opinion.

That bloke is about as entertaining as being smashed in the face with a rusty crowbar.


His contribution to the Footy show was woeful too. Not that the Footy show ever needs help with that, they manage very well by themselves.

Its awful. Its as if Stevo & Eddie just turn up every Friday & Saturday, quick glance at the notes and off we go.

At the very least Barry & Terry are entertaining.

Get the guy from Sportklub to do it he seems to have a good time when doing superleague.
