| should pryce be given a chance at FB?
wellens is well past it and has no pace
briscoe, again is lacking in pace but on the other hand is reliable
sykes, played out of position when he is at FB
pryce on the other hand has pace and can beat a man, and is also reliable. he has experience from playing at FB several times for saints, bulls and international level. Plus, he gives us another option at 6 or 7 when we are attacking....what do you think?

| Pryce shouldn’t be anywhere near an international set up. He doesn’t seem to of improved this year much - just the same old flat track bully. Personally I’d go for Richie Mathers because when he was in form for leeds in 04 he was smashing and it seems that Tony Smith is coaching that back into him again after unsuccessful spells in Australia and Wigan.

| Briscoe has to start as favourite to get the England No 1 shirt.
Richard Owen looks a good long term solution so he could get a go.
I wouldn't have Pryce as a fullback. Maybe as a centre perhaps.

| A past it Wellens, is still the best we have. Did you see the two try saving tackles he made against Wigan? Would the likes of Briscoe or Owen have made them? I doubt it

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

The question is would he make those tackles against the faster stronger Aussies? if the last WC is anything to go by the answer is a resounding no.
For me Owen has to be selected - we will get hammered anyway so try and build a team for the future

Mathers? Now that is very funny.
I'd but Hall at Full Back.

Don't know if that was posted in jest, but's probably the closest thing we've got to an NRL fullback.

| Briscoe deserves it after this year, but i'd argue that he is not a long term solution there. Owen could be given a shot, as could Halley.

| Briscoe for me as he has been the best British full back this year. I would not want to see players picked out of thier club position. If there are two better half backs than Price he should not get picked in any other position. The only time players should play out of position is during a game to cover an injury or on tour when all other options are out.It is hardly fair on the best in any position to be pushed asside for a name no matter who it is.(In my opinion that is)

| Its a lost cause picking any of these players to be honest.
If I was Tony Smith I'd be looking around NRL fullback that qualify via the "Grandparent Rules" and get someone back that that is of decent quality.
By the way those famous grandparent rules give you 11 options to pick and chose which international team you play for.

You might have 11 grandparents, Freaky. Us normal folk tend to have just four.
