| Hi all,
I am going to the GF next week and since I have never been to Old Trafford before I don't have a clue where to park. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I've done a couple of Google searches and they seem to think there are plenty of Official Car Parks, is this true?
Cheers,
Dave

| Park in Morrissons car park in Eccles and get the tram (10mins) to Exchange Quay. From Morrisons car park follow the signs for the M60 and there you go.
Parking in Eccles will help you avoid the traffic. I wouldn't park anywhere near Old Trafford.

Good. I am trying to encourage people to buy from local, smaller retailers

| Good advice though.
Use local retailers.
Park and Ride or Park and walk

| Morrisons in Eccles is a pay and display car park (you get your money back against a purchase and there may be a maximum stay). There is a metrolink park and ride off Eccles New Road near Ladywell Tram stop, close to the junction with the M602. There are loads of official and unofficial car parks around Trafford Park usually charging anything between £5-£15 - some are more difficult than others to get away from.

Can't remember the set-up but we've never been charged for parking at Morrissons. Missus parks at Morrisons everytime she goes to see her team play in Trafford.

Only thing is that the off licenses round there charge a fortune, last year I ended up having to buy 4 cans of White Ace as they weren’t overcharging for that
That one top of Matt Busby Way charged me £1.70 a can of Fosters. I nearly died. Will learn and take some off the bus

| Park in one of the official ones - close to the ground and better and safer than cowboys double and triple parking you in a yard somewhere!

Has she possibly missed the signs and machines? I did the first time I went in. The system was operating 5 years ago and was still operating last time I went sometime in 2008.

| Do be careful. A few years back some friends of mine were scammed for parking. A guy waved them through some gates and pointed down a track and took £5 off them. It was only when they got to the end of the track they realised there was no parking and the guy was a con artist

| Huge car park next to Imperial War Museum has been my choice since the first Grand Final. You queue to get away is all but not the end of the world!

| I did the walk from Old Trafford to Eccles, its not fun. Then again the people I were with had no idea where they were going. At one point I saw a sign saying we were heading towards Salford!
Ended up in the pub in Eccles near the train station singing we are the champions, p*ssed out of my head, even though they all knew I went for the Bottle Throwers!
