Just got back from that game, very entertaining but appeared to be manipulated by the referree, Barrow far better team referre kept putting Gateshead back in the game.

3 teams on 29 points fighting to stay up! I bet there are some very clenched buttocks in Leigh/Batley/Gateshead.

Not sure about the can of worms, but Gateshead's potential survival by winning at the top team will have the expansionist conspiracy theorists frothing at the mouth! It just epitomises the crazy nature of the championship this year.

Anyway - there is one other team with nothing to play for next weekend and that's Widnes. Although it will be quite exciting listening to the radio! Surely there is an expansion team we can throw into Champ 1 and get an even number of sides in the Championship - too late for next season, but season after let's have one going down and a new club put into Champ 1.

Anyway, some genuine last day excitement at both ends of the table, shame some of it is on Thursday night, but hey ho.

You'd have to fancy Gateshead to get a result at Doncaster so it's between Leigh and Batley.

Amazing thing is that Gateshead have been 2nd bottom all season and yet have only lost the same amount of games as Widnes and Sheffield.

Barrow have had a litle turmoil this week to say the least so they were bound to be a little out of sorts, as for Donny v Gateshead I wouldn't rule out a shock Donny win Gatesheads form is up & Down at the best of times.

Didn't realise Leigh were at home. I'd have to agree, they've been playing well at home and Haven didn't look amazing last week.

It's down to whether Batley can pull off a win at Featherstone I reckon.

Even worse if it hadn't been for neighbourly love from Widnes, Leigh would be relegated right now.
