I am all for union bashing, but I have been questioning his sanity and knoweledge of the modern game for some time. One of his comments on Friday night summed it up for me. Cas were six points ahead against Shudds, two tackles left with about three mins to go. Stevo said "I wouldn't go for the drop goal.!" Cas did just that and won the match. Why wouldn't you go for the drop goal in that situation, when it is as good as a try?

A couple of high profile snipes from Inverdale and Jones apart, I don't remember the likes of Barnes and Morris, or Lloyd and Gower taking potshots at League when they're supposed to be talking about their own sports?

But its the high profile anchors that people remember the comments of, its them that direct programme content.

The "pundits" are of little import in these things.

How many other RL commentators get half an hour every week to promote the game, only to waste part of it going off on one?
