Excellent news, I'd prefer a 2nd NZ team to help develop NZRL after the WC success and create instant rivalry. All depends how the money stacks up I guess.

Would like to see a Perth team involved, Central coast good idea, 2nd Brisbane team also a good idea, but i take it they would have to play out of the suncorp as well. A game in Brisbane every week would be fantastic for the NRL.

yeah if they are going with a brisbane team soon they they wont have time for a new ground.

suncorps the best RL ground anyway and easy to travel too

Playing out of the same stadium at Suncorp will prove difficult for a new team, they'd struggle with a lack of identity.

Who plays at the old ANZ stadium that the Broncos played at in the mid 90's? Has it had a name change?

i agree with the cities and the order they should get a franchise, but i would bring wellington in sooner to capitilise on leagues mini boom in NZ at the moment.

also what are the reds facilities and stadia like? are they NRL standard or is their projects underway to build new/better facilities.

are the majority of the squad from WA? or are they "imports" from NSW and QLD.
I think the NRL should deinitely shore up league in the heartlands with one team in NSW or qld, ideally central coast, but the other team has to be a "true expansion" team from outside the heartland and i think perth is the most likely as its essentially a whole new market for the TV side of it and the expansion of the player pool would be great for the kangaroos but bad for the rest the world. I dont think the NRL is in any position to put a team in Adelaide in the next 4 years, and that should be a longer term aim.
