| Correct me if I'm wrong but the title sponsors are Stobart aren't they?? there appears to be no branding reference at games (I dont include announcements and spoken reference in this) and last years sponsors must be rubbing their hands at all the free advirtising they are currently getting via the Match Ball at Salford last week and Post Protectors and Corner Flags at every SL Game. I am also pretty sure it doesnt appear on any of the pitch side advertising.

| Looked around Langtree Park last night, nothing at all from Stobart. It seems as though they are sponsoring a Friday Sky Sport with superimposed badging on the TV screen. Nigel Wood said we would benefit up to 2.5 million pounds!
I,ve travelling around 700 miles so far since the start of Superleague and I haven,t seen one Stobart Superleague lorry yet. Maybe we should have a bean counter every time we spot a Stobart Superleague lorry. We can then formalise
No of sightings / no of Superleague games = £2500000

| This is the whole point of the excercise! For the main league sponsor to advertise us, in return we call our division "the stobart super league". It's not an all encompassing exclusive deal like previous years, so other sponsors can get on board - Heinz for instance.

Engage are getting free advertising as well.
In reality if you attend live games, We do NOT have a Superleague sponsor.

Yes we do. It's Stobart. The clue being the matches are part of a competition called the Stobart Super League.

| There is no doubt that Stobart is a "major" brand, but I do agree that it has not been highly visible at the matches played so far, indeed, there is more evidence of the previous sponsor "engage" in many grounds.
The RFL or Stobart cant be happy with this although I am looking forward to some Big Soup tomorrow

Stobart's deal does not include posts, balls and all the stuff Engage had at grounds. All it is is the name of the competition. Everything else will be sold in due course. It's been explained so many times, I'm not sure why people don't understand.

That's my point though we have a competition called Stobart Superleague but no reference to it at the Superleague clubs.
If you don,t have sky sports and attend live games only, there is no visibility of a new sponsor, if you introduce a person to live games of rugby Superleague at most of the games so far they would get the impression the main sponsor is Engage.

I do understand, but the season is now underway and it seems like "Christmas is lasting until February". I'm ok with the arrangement, but the deal for the ramaining advertising bits and pieces should already be in place.
Do you not agree that it looks amateurish with last seasons sponsors still on view ?

| Maybe engage are still paying for the posts etc, just not for the competition title?

Where has it been explained except on these MBs?.
Is it on the rfl website?.

| Does it matter if people at the game or even on TV see the Stobart branding? , are these people going to ring Stobarts on monday and request a price on a few million quids worth of haulage?
No
The Stobarts deal is all about increasing awareness of SL on SKY, nothing else, Stobarts get the exposure but will ultimatly not make millions out of it

Clearly you don't understand as it hasn't been explained at all.
I suspect that the padding etc. is still being prepared and this will be provided to clubs in due course.
The deal was signed only a week in advamce of the season, and these things take time to be produced.

| Stobarts deal is only for the title sponsor, so everything that is visible on a game is up for grabs (ball sponsor, post pads, corner flags, officials shirts) is up for grabs, so there won't be any stobart post pads, corner flags etc unless they pay extra for the privilege
Engages sponsorship included all of the above.
Heinz have just signed to provide sponsorship of all clubs shirt sleeves whilst apparently they are discussions ongoing regarding a match officials sponsor
