Why? I’m a saints fan. We were never going to win anything this season so we get a decent wedge for him to leave early. With Tamou and Proctor coming in next season it lessons the blow a little. |

You could stutter your way through the season and win the grand final like has happened to other sides in previous years or get a decent cup draw to the semis . To be totally writing saints off for any silverware at this early stage of a season is a bit naive imo. Far worse sides than saints current side have won silverware before... |

It's the classic 'pessimist is never disappointed' strategy, where any sort of success is a welcome bonus and also provides protection from other club's fans p!$s taking - us Wire fans have been using it for years... |
