The BBC & the the CC is the biggest opportunity of the year to bring the sport to a wider audience yet they have the most negative pundit doing the commentary. Jonathan Davies is so negative and always pointing out mistakes, errors or what the team should of done better rather than getting excited about the good stuff. With people like him to a wider audience what do they have to get excited about. Shouldn't he be celebrating good passages of play, while technically correct he's so down on the dour side. Get rid and bring in a positive personality that can sell the game

There are plenty of great pundits on local radio who could make the tv transition I’m sure, mix it up a bit!

I don’t mind him. And it helps having a non-northern accent on national tv.

Jonathan Davies is not a Welsh miner but a Welsh whiner. He is such a depressing commentator. He has little to say that is insightful. He prefers cliches like "ball watching."

Get him off! He is doing the game no good by being on the BBC.

I don't come on here a lot and wasn't aware that there are other threads moaning about Davies. My moan was based purely on the fact that the BBC is the best opportunity and widest showcase the game has to appeal to a new audience. His negativety certainly doesn't do that, I was watching with some work colleagues that don't normally watch RL and it was their comments that prompted the post. If people from outside the game can see it then something really does need to be done. I can't recall any football commentators being that negative
