| Peacock's performance last night was awesome. The coach McNamara or the RFL need to coax him out of retirement. He still has enough in him to make a difference.
James Graham, Eorl Crabtree, Chris Hill, Sam Burgess, Gareth Ellis, Ben Westwood, Gareth Hock, James Roby, Rob Burrow and Jamie Peacock would make a powerful 10 man pack (4 on the bench) that could outmuscle Australia.

| I dont agree tbh, yeah he was great for Leeds tonight, but towards the end he was done.
Also, Id rather the younger ones get more internationals under their belts to improve at that level.

| I don't agree. Peacock has had his time, and we need to move on. He was excellent last night, no doubt about it, but I for one am glad he chose to retire when he did.

| He was great going forward but virtually every tackle he was involved in saw the Melbourne player able to offload - he is incapable of stopping the offload these days

| this is why we struggle against the aussies. younger players need to be given the chance to step up, otherwise we'll have the same team foryears like we have in the past.

| He was ok last night but not as good as some are making out. Defensively could have been better and towards the end of the game he lost the ball in something like four or five consecutive botched off-loads.

| I think he's benefitted from a full pre-season with no England duties. If he played in the WC he would also benefit from a group of props who could better do the job when he was off the pitch. He was great the first half, towards the end of the game though and the dodgy offloads you could see that he was knackered from having to be on the field for so long because we got so little from our bench props.

| England have to move forward without JP. Lets see how the likes of Chris Hill, Lee Mossop and LMS come on this year.

| Na, there's plenty of young talent out there willing to step up. We cant keep relying on the old tried and failed.

| He needs to do it on a consistent basis, otherwise there is no point in getting him out of retirement. One swallow doesn't make a summer (they've probably all frozen to death at the moment anyway!).

| If JP is showing the kind of form at the back end of the year that he showed on friday night, and other squad contenders i.e Hill,Mossop, Crabtree etc.. are not pulling up any trees then i could see no reason why Mcnamara would not ask him to come back for the WC.
I, like most obviously want us to move on to the next generation, but i also want us to do the best we can in the World Cup as they dont come round every year, and having your best possible in-form players available is a must.If that means asking a 35 year old to come out of retirement for one last tournament then so be it.

| Thought Peacock was good, but in last 15 mins came up with 3 fail offloads, when more compusure needed. (Fitness issue???) I agree with a number of people, go with the new generation.
I personally think the half backs and threequarters is more of a corncern against the aussies, aswell as fitness last 20 mins.

| Yes Jamie Peacock played well last night. Until the last fifteen minutes when his offload game put Leeds on the back foot on a couple of occasions. We need to look to the future. There are enough international level forwards for us to use without bringing him back. We're going to need more than a good pack to win the World Cup anyway.
