Looking at the next two round of game sit is clear that the 8 team play off system is working well. Virtually every game left has some real meaning for one or both teams.

As it stands Wigan will probably be at home in round one against who
Who will get the other home berth Wire or saints.
HkR could end up getting a home tie or be away against Leeds, Hull FC or Huddersfield.

Hull or leeds could get fourth. Let alone the battle for 8th.

It is a long time since so many teams had something to play for going into the last two rounds.

Its just wrong that a team that loses more games than it wins in the regular season can have the chance to be Champions. And lets be honest, the first round playoffs last year were a damp squib. I'd go further and say that, apart from the horror ten minutes before half time at Headingley, Catalans were the best team in last year's playoffs and they just sneaked in to 8th on the last weekend!

If we had a top six playoff there would still be lots to play for - Huddersfield and Hull KR and 6th and 7th with the same points!

No it's not wrong, it's about knowing your squads strength and getting them to reach the play offs in form.

It's just different and we don't like change.

Having a team finish in the bottom half of the table and compete in the play offs, is wrong. (imo of course!)

It doesn't matter if you think it's wrong it's happening, get used to it and embrace it.

Hey this is superleague where we have to give all the smaller teams a chance to do something insted of encouraging them to improve. Ive always thought it should be top 6. Its a joke how you can make the play offs when youve finished in the bottom half of the table.

I know its the system but i'll never like it, just like many fans. Seems only fans of the smaller teams like it and I wonder why that is. Making the play offs should be an achievement and a big thing, right now you dont even have to be that good to make them.

working fine, all the teams tha make it barring possiblyone will dserve to be there and could turn each other over on any given day. I hope we see a 5th-8th team have a good run and cause some "upsets" along the way

So you deserve to be there when you finish in the bottom half of the table? This is why rugby league cant be taken seriously. We always have to strive to keep the small teams happy and reward mediocrity. Hardly working fine when you see the attendances of the plays offs.

Go back to top 6 and it becomes something that actually has a meaning.
