| God I hope not. Would be disastrous for the sport if they pulled out.

because it would create a space for one of the failing English heartland clubs to fill. Would probably save Cas or wakey from going into NL1

| Catalans are one of the most vibrant and exciting elements to Super League. Take them away and it would look very M62 and very, very dull.
SL needs a strong Catalans. If they are in trouble, the RFL should fund them. They should also consider taxing the other franchises in order to fund the Dragons to the level where they can win SL.

Non!
Wakefield, Salford and Cas replaced by Toulouse, Paris and Palma would be better.

Because that worked so well the last time they were all in Super League didn't it.
The sport needs to make a decision. If we want 4,000 crowds, whippets, by-ecky-thumping down the M62 corridor then fine. If we want a colourful, dynamic, exciting sport, that is in some way 'Super' we need to think bigger than we are at the moment.

| Barry McKenzie will try and keep this argument simple.
Rugby League is not popular enough anywhere else apart from the 'North' of England, PNG and up the East Coast of Australia to catch on to the extent where a club can have any real commercial success out side of these areas.
So don't try.
Make the sport stronger where it is popular first and then MAYBE, just maybe try expanding.
But not before.
This is how Germany lost Operation Barbarossa in WW2.
Too much too soon too fast.
